::Fantastic service, incredible onsen, food was good, lots of things to do on-site. We had a wonderful time!

::Good place to stay in Hokkaido. Their outdoor hot spring is huge, but the indoor one seems a little poorly maintained. Be careful of the outdoor hot spring at night as it is rocky and slippery.

::Pros: Dinner buffet is good with steak and DIY lamb BBQ. Room is spacious by Japanese standard. Cold and hot drinks are served complimentarily 7:30am-9:30pm, and hot drink includes corn soup and cream chowder. After the dinner, they host a lottery where you buy numbered tickets for 500yen each, and when you win, you choose among a few gifts Cons: Location is a bit far away on foot from the ropeway station and the bus terminal. Sound proofing is not good and you can hear people talking in the hallway and neighbors using toilets or bathing water in their rooms.

::A grand hotel of a bygone era with two options for onsens which rotate between men and women only so in the morning you can visit one onsen and in the evening visit the other. They provide buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner but vegetarians beware there are very few options and no tangible vegan options (maybe fruit and salad). There are also private onsens which you can rent but we didn't try them.

::I recently had the displeasure of encountering a significant lapse in service during my stay at Choyo Resort. Despite having made a reservation well in advance and confirming the shuttle bus service upon check-in, the transportation arrangement turned out to be a complete disaster. On the day of check-out, my party and I eagerly awaited the designated bus for a Sapporo journey, only to be informed by the front desk that there had been an oversight, and no transportation had been arranged for us. This error threw a wrench into our travel plans, compelling us to navigate through the heavy snow with our luggage and take a bus with two transfers to reach Sapporo. The ensuing delays meant that we arrived at our destination exceptionally late. What compounded our frustration was the lack of compensation for this serious mistake. The only remedy offered was a reimbursement for public transportation expenses, which didn't even cover the cost of reserved seats. Such unreliability is disappointing, and it's disheartening to think such an oversight could occur. I feel it's essential to share this experience as a cautionary tale. My encounter with Choyo Resort has left me with a negative impression, and I am reluctant to trust their services in the future. The lack of accountability and compensation for the inconvenience further sours the experience. In summary, I strongly advise potential guests to exercise caution when relying on Choyo Resort's transportation services, and consider alternative options to avoid such disappointments.
