  Very old and short of maintenance. Not worth the price. Not recommend

  Was told we were in a non-smoking room, but there was an ashtray and the room stunk of smoke. I think they just put up a non-smoking sign and told us it was non-smoking… overall the hotel was pretty run down, but the breakfast buffet was great.

  Pros: The location. Cons: Old rug. Wifi not accesible eiter in the room or in the dining room. Too high step to reach to the bathroom, which is not friedly for the elderly (you can ask for a stepper at the front office). Quite narrow elevators which may not stay open while you are getting in or out. Don't be surprised to see bed linens for laundry right infront of your door (the cleaning staff was a bit too careless).

  I would have given this place a negative star, but it won't let me. It was the grossest place I have ever stayed at on this trip or any trip. My husband booked it because it was near the ropeway and had a public bath in facility (my fault for not reading all the reviews before letting him book). Place smelled of smoke as soon as i walked into elevator. The room smell like smoke even when I requested non smoking. Bathroom was so small and smelled like urine. The bed did not even come with a comforter or blanket, only a thin flat sheet and the bed cover. Carpet has stains. The booking do come with a breakfast buffet, which is convenient for a quick bite to eat before heading out for the day. Besides that, I will not be returning to this hotel. I rather sleep in the car I rented.

  No problems with this hotel. Location was great, close to the bus stop and the winter festival. Rooms were spacious and clean. Service was great, staff knew basic English. Public onsen was clean, outdoor area was small. A mobile phone was part of the room which was interesting. Also note that it's all uphill towards the ropeway
