::Where can I even start? The owner was incredibly sweet and attentive to my mother’s vegan diet, which is rare to find here in Japan. She not only provided excellent service but also recommended many activities to do on the island. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was extremely friendly—I wish I could come back every day. Additionally, she spoke English very well, which was a relief to find here.

::I love this place so much! We stayed one night, we had dinner at the restaurant, the chef prepared 8 meals for us to try the regional food, every single dish was so delicious we couldn’t even talk, every time we got served something more, the chef himself came to explain the mix of flavors and the farm/region that each ingredient was coming from. The room was huge, traditional old Japanese style room, with tatami and a couple of cute interior balconies. The room had 2 toilets so it was quite convenient. The owners are lovely, they even speak a bit of Spanish. We showed them our collection of eki stamps and were very happy to see where we have been. The clothes and the towels smell so so so good, it feels like you’re being hugged by aromatherapy. Love this place and would recommend 1000%

::Located straight across from the Hiroshima ferry, Yamaichi Bekkan is the most authentically Japanese experience we encountered on our recent holiday. Comfortable rooms and the most charming hosts you could wish for serving excellent local fare expertly prepared. We had a marvellous time in this wonderful hotel on a most beautiful island. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

::Absolute highlight of our trip. The hosts are the warmest and kindest people who can't do enough for you, chatty and humourous. For dinner, we had kaiseki and they explained how we should eat all our meals and told us all the locally sourced ingredients. Our party had vegetarians and meat eaters and they were incredibly diligent in catering to us. 100% the best vegetarian food we've eaten in Japan, so fresh and full of flavour!! And breakfast too!! The rooms are cozy. Lovely, clean and simply done in traditional Japanese style which added to the authenticity. The shower was a little scary to work out, but fine to use. Would recommend to everyone, especially vegetarians, and will be talking about this place as a holiday highlight back home in England.

::I need to eat gluten-free (celiac) and they took very good care of this request. After a very nice lady in service had already pointed out to me which dishes on the menu were gluten-free (possible), the chef came personally to take the order and go through all the ingredients with me and yes, he knew exactly every single ingredient of dishes and sauces. The sushi rice here is made with rice vinegar (not grain vinegar) and there is gluten-free soy sauce. So after 3 weeks in Japan I was able to eat sushi for the first time - thank you for that! :) My sushi was delicious and so was my husband's grilled eel (not gluten free in his version). The service was competent and sweet. Definitely recommended!
