::We had such a great experience here! Every detail was meticulously taken care of. We were welcomed by English-speaking staff and enjoyed a wonderful welcome tea. The room was perfect – clean, fully accessorized, and offering a fantastic view of the stream below, surrounded by mountains. The onsen was very impressive, featuring both indoor and outdoor pools with various amenities. The food was exceptional! It was a delightful experience tasting a variety of dishes for both dinner and breakfast. Each meal came with a small description from the staff delivering it. I was so enthusiastic about this experience. I would highly recommend this place

::The room is huge, clean and comfortable. Super friendly and helpful staffs. Awesome traditional Japanese banquet. There is even a bar with live piano at night. Perfect get away from busy Tokyo life. Highly recommended.

::Great Ryokan experience. Onsen was great. Food at the breakfast and dinner were not completely to our taste (Roots and lots and lots of Tofu), but it was tasty nonetheless. Also, there is plenty of other food served in the meal, so don't feel bad for not eating the Yams and Tofus. Though fair warning、that is a main part of the main dishes! Service is impeccable. Live music plays downstairs at night and drinks are relatively inexpensive for the location and ordering alacarte from a hotel bar at night - ¥550 (Feb 2023) Western beds available, as well as Tatami and private or shared bathrooms. Recommended.

::This may have been my first ever Ryokan stay, but it was every bit the top notch Japanese hospitality that I’ve only ever seen on TV. Our luggages were sent straight to our room once the room was ready, while we were still out sightseeing. Upon checking in, the staff brought us to our room & also let us pick the yukata design of our choice. There’s also a free shuttle bus service that goes straight to Nikko JR station. Front desk staff were proficient in English & it was really nice getting instruction manuals in English, detailing hotel regulations & even how to wear a yukata. Maps & brochures of sightseeing spots in the vicinity were also provided. The dinner & breakfast served were absolutely delicious, making them some of the most memorable meals we’ve had in Japan. Both the rooms & public bath area had some of the best amenities we’ve ever seen before, it’s actually fascinating just to look at all the stuff they provide there. For all the good service, amenities & good food, I’d say this Ryokan is definitely worth every cent of what we paid. Definitely a must should I visit Nikko again.

::Paid 24000 yen per person for a night including dinner, breakfast and onsen. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, with emphasis on local seasonal ingredient. However, I think the service and level of execution of the meals did not meet the level of expectation given the price that I have paid. I did not feel a warming sensation from the staff. They did not even inform me about my car window was opened the whole night before I discovered it myself. I have stayed in better luxury hotels given the price, and I don't think I would come back again.
