Facilities are a bit old but food (pork shabushabu) is good. You need to put your room key to reception desk when you go outside. I hope this key handling system must assign dedicate person if it is needed. I had to be in a line to put and get the room key when I went out and came back. A free shuttle bus service to the center of Yubatake is convenient even though it is about 15min by foot.

False fire alarm at 2:30 in the morning!!!!, no English communication only Japanese. No receptionist during the alarm, only could figure out what is happening when asking other guests. You have to tell when you are having breakfast the day before. Even though there are few visitors. They wont let you in to have breakfast 15 minutes earlier. Half of the food there is no English signs. You need to get the breakfast ticket, but they wont issue it only after 2 pm for next day. The hotel is in bad condition.

The building was a little old but you get what you paid for. It was although out a good experience. The shuttle takes you to the main district and runs consistently. The Onsen itself inside has seen better days but the outdoor Onsen was quite good! The cosmetics section at the ladies Onsen had COMPLETE skin care while most Onsen only provide the basics. The staff were very friendly and caring and I would recommend to anyone who likes grit and character. Hope this helps!

The hotel has an old-school feel. It could do with some renovation, but for its price point and location it's well worth the stay. Staff were professional and accommodating during our overnight stay.

Would not recommend staying here. There was no notice or advertisement about the room being a smoking room. As soon I entered the room I booked it stunk of smoke, I wish I had taken photos. Even after opening the window for 30 minutes it still realed. The staff were okay, but weren't the most kind if you care a lot about friendliness. The only redeeming quality was the breakfast and dinner included as well as the shuttle that took us straight next to Yubatake. Would not recommend staying here if you have any respiratory health concerns for yourself or any children.
