The suite was lovely, and the staff were great. Many speak English as well, so that's a positive for many. I highly HIGHLY recommend sitting at the sushi counter and eating fresh sushi. The horse sashimi is also amazing if you're feeling adventurous. Junichi was our chef. He doesn't speak much English, but he has great humor, professionalism, and the nigiri and sushi he made was divine! As for the spa, I highly recommend getting a massage by Hiroko. I've NEVER had such a wonderful massage experience before. I had an awful knot in my shoulder that no one has been able to help me with, but she managed to take care of it and I feel amazing! Our suite was amazing. Very spacious and clean, and the view was lovely. If given the opportunity, I would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful rooms and stunning views. The staff were all super friendly and courteous. The hotel have a private shuttle that takes you downtown whenever you need and there was an onsen onsite. We enjoyed every moment of our stay. It was super relaxing and it felt very luxurious.

The Hyatt Regency Hakone Resort and Spa is a welcome change from our hotel in Tokyo. It is laid back and well appointed. We stayed in the room with traditional tatami floor and bed rolls. So nice! The staff prepared the beds in the early evening and put it away in the mornings, converting the tatami room to a sitting room with traditional low table and legless chairs. There is also a sliding door between the regular western style bedroom set up and the tatami room. The staff are really helpful and would go beyond their way to accomodate guests' request! So reassuring specially for those of us who don't speak the language. We really appreciate all the help we got during our 2 nights stay. The lounge featured live music every night! Tonight it was a really good jazz trio! The food served in the Living room is good and reasonably priced. They serve free coffee and tea starting at 7a.m. Although there is a Nespresso machine and tea in the rooms. Although the hotel is a little far from the Gora station and the restaurants and cafes, they do provide an efficient shuttle service upon guests' request and they have scheduled shuttle service to Odawara Station.

We had a wonderful time at the Hyatt Regency Hakone during a family vacation last November. The hotel is a fair distance away from Gora Station, but their shuttle service was quick and convenient. The location was beautiful, with great views of the brilliant fall colors and mountains. The room itself was huge and the kids enjoyed sleeping on the futons in the tatami room. Their breakfast buffet was amazing, with so many delicious options. The evening happy hour and dinner at the western dining room were great as well. Throughout the hotel, the service was impeccable. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again soon.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Hyatt in Hakone! We are here for our honeymoon and it was so spectacular. The onset is male and female but you quickly get used to it and we used it three times and once before our massages! The rooms are amazing and ours had a view of Mount Fuji which was awesome. Twin beds but it’s essentially a king. The breakfast is amazing and we ate at the western and Japanese dinners. Both delicious! One of our favorite sushi meals in Japan so far. The service is exceptional even though the language barrier is hard. They have a shuttle that picked us up at the train stop and brought us to and from the open air museum!
