I had a really enjoyable time here. The public bath/onsen was great, especially the cold water tub. The massage by Kumiko was skillfully delicate, relaxing, and customised. There was also the opportunity to chat with her shortly after while having tea and biscuit, which was fun and insightful. The hotel staff were very attentive and helpful. The complimentary self-serve drink bar was also nice. The internal garden and herb garden was good. One thing I would have liked is self-service laundry facilities because the laundry service is... expensive. Another is, you will need to take public transport if you want to go to any major tourist location around there, but because this hotel is the attraction itself, it was not that big of a concern to me. Would highly recommend staying at Fujiya Hotel👍

Overpriced just for the name. Garden old and not nice. They might make it better. Slow stuff. If you don’t have 1,5-2 hours for breakfast just push them from the beginning. Fine French dining - the tables after guests left stood messy all evening for joy for the rest of the guests even they had a lot of stuff in the restaurant to tidy that up. And overpriced. Don’t recommend at all.

Beautiful old grand hotel. Rooms are comfy. Location is conveniently on bus route but services are lacking nearby and hotel doesn’t have easy/quick options for food. Service was a bit lacking at the front desk. Concierge not particularly helpful.

The hotel is very charming. The food is very average and hence overpriced ($100+ for the cheapest tasting menu in the Japanese style dinner). Wouldn't recommend. With the same budget you can definitely can way much better food in Tokyo.

The staff were very friendly and super helpful. The rooms are beautiful and very thoughtful. As I walked around the Hotel it felt like magic in every section. The food was fantastic — each course was a work of art . I would highly recommend and I would love to visit again.
