::Lovely hotel, stayed in a Japanese styled room. Wouldn't recommend for people who can't sleep on hard surfaces. But the public bath on the 5th floor was heaven

::This place is disgusting and not worth even a quick glance; immediately when I walked in the lobby, I could smell mold. This hotel has a mix of Western and tatami mat rooms, and, while I can’t soeak about the Western style rooms, the tatami mat rooms are not worth it—the mattress that they have are gross and old, full of stains and clearly never washed. Besides the condition of the mats, the towels are threadbare and light can be seen through them.

::japanese style homes is nice, but there are only 2 power outlets, 1 for the ref and 1 for tv. you dont have enough outlets to charge your devices.

::There is a mall on the other side of a nearby tram station that is pretty amazing. Plenty of food options within walking distance. The onsen is also very relaxing. 10/10 would do again.

::The hotel rooms are spacious and are comfortable. Good for Kids because of the room size. The public bath was great. However NO INTERNET was available in the room as was promised when booked and advertised as well. There was NO connectivity AT ALL. Also staff were non-responsive to other requests about services available. The location is GREAT as it is close to the station, but I feel that the HOTEL doesn't care about reviews because Kyoto gets enough tourism traffic not to matter. If you need the Internet to plan trips or excursions, this hotel is not ideal.
