  Close to local+shinkansen station. Great price. Amazing breakfast. Big, new, clean rooms. Service was great

  We only stayed for one night to visit friends. Location/ The location was great because it was close to many convenient places. Aaron mall isn’t nearby where there is a pharmacy, grocery store, McDonald’s, KFC, stationary store and some other small department store shopping. It is also a shout’s distance away from Sakuranbo-Higashine station which easily connects you to the north and southern parts of Yamagata. This station is even useful that you can catch the Shinkansen(bullet train) yo Tokyo or north to Hokkaido. I speak some Japanese so I didn’t see how well he train staff can handle English only speakers. Though you can switch the ticket machine to English. Hotel room/ A bit small for a westerners taste. It’s hard to open a large suitcase unless you put it on the bed. But the bed and the room were super clean. They provide yukatas (type of indoor clothing set) and other amenities such as shampoo, body wash, tooth brush and towels. Technology/ They have a cool new tablet that can be switched to English that talks about the entertainment in Yamagata, the history afnd recommendations in the area. I thought it was sooo useful. They also have free WiFi. Breakfast/ About half western and half Japanese. They even have natto, if that is to your liking. They had eggs, sausages, coffee, tea, etc. Simple but definitely tasty. The staff is super kind and will even serve some items for you. Front office staff is super flexible and can speak little English!
