::We had a wonderful time. The rooms were spacious and clean, the onsets were luxurious, the food was fresh and delicious (we opted to have 2 meals provided) and the resort had just the right amount of things to do for a restful time. Guests have access to all the books in the bookstore so I spent a good amount of time reading and having well-brewed tea! Special thanks to Ms. Erika Ito who was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

::The staff are nice and helpful, they can speak fluent English. There is a transfer service from and to Ureshino station, and they have contacted me proactively. The price is fair and this is the best Onsen hotel in my life.

::For such a high end looking hotel the service here was pretty bad but maybe it’s cuz I’m a foreigner?? I haven’t given any bad review for any place in Japan before but the mistakes this place made was ridiculous and I made so many trips here ( note that I do not stay at this hotel, Im coming here just for the onsen because my hotel made a list of recommended private onsen and this place was one of it )just to book for a private onsen that I paid 4000 yen for… Firstly when I first dropped off to try their private onsen the staff asked me to come back the next day to book for the day itself at 8am and so I did. Only to be told again by the staff to come by at 12pm at which I thought ok maybe it’s just miscommunication and tried telling them that yesterday their staff told me to come at 8am. So finally they let me book the onsen for 6pm and repeated the appointment time several times. When I came in later on time at 6pm, another staff insisted the schedule book wrote that my appointment was at 6.30 and by then I was frustrated at the amount of mistakes they made even if accidentally 🫠 It was a male staff attending to me and his attitude was bad from the start. I insisted he check again cause my appointment is at 6pm and he made a phone call to just check if the onsen was free already for us to use cuz I guess he didn’t want to deal with more fuss and luckily a onsen was available 😓 when he opened the schedule book and took my receipt which the counter staff in the morning wrote my timing he saw that it was really at 6pm and mumbled in Japanese to himself that oh it’s really at 6pm like I was purposely trying to bluff him in the first place 😥 he probably thought we don’t understand what he said cuz I spoke English to communicate the whole time cause I’m not fluent in Japanese. But I can understand what they say 😓 several miscom and mistakes are maybe ok but this attitude is what drives me to write this bad review because it spoils the whole experience for me and it’s my first time to try onsen. The hotel inside is really grand and gorgeous looking though.

::The room we stayed is pretty old, ceiling gets mold. Bathroom is disgusting. The entire floor smells cigarette smoke. 100% not recommended(I would give 0 star of ranking)

::This review is for the private onsen. We booked a family onsen room. It was expensive (¥4000). I’m not sure how this hotel is classified as a 5 star hotel in Google - the carpets are worn out and gross, one of the bathroom sinks was dirty and had no running water. The private onsen windows were fully blocked off with a screen so you couldn’t see out at all. On top of this, they won’t validate your parking either and make you pay ¥300 for parking for an hour.
