::The fillet cutlet is soft and delicious even when eaten with just salt. It takes a while after ordering at lunchtime, but the restaurant is packed so it can't be helped. The sound of pounding raw pork can also be heard inside the store. I think the price is a little higher than other tonkatsu restaurants, but the taste is worth it.

::I wanted to eat pork cutlet, so I came in after 11am and was having trouble deciding on the lunch menu, but I ordered the loin cutlet set meal. After ordering, the host pounded the meat with a mart hammer to make it tender.Even during lunch hours, the owner was very attentive and amazing. When the tonkatsu arrived, first of all, with just salt, it had the flavor of lean pork and was thick but soft and quite delicious. The special sauce has a different taste than other restaurants, and this one was delicious. I thought it was miso, but it turned out to be pork soup with lots of ingredients. The vegetables were also delicious.

::``Tonkatsu Tonju'' is a pork cutlet restaurant founded in 2017, located an 11-minute walk from JR Oita Station. This tonkatsu restaurant is run by the owner who has worked at various Japanese and Western restaurants, and is said to be a popular tonkatsu restaurant with long lines of customers even at lunchtime. By the way, the pork that Mr. Tonki uses for tonkatsu is apparently SPF pork called "Sakurao", and I was looking forward to hearing that it has a chewy and soft texture. That's why I visited around 7pm on a public holiday. Because the customers were changing at the right time, I was guided to the counter seat without waiting! I had a hard time deciding between top loin or special top loin for the pork cutlet, but I had come all the way to Oita... So I chose the special roast cutlet set meal. After ordering, the host will pound the meat with a mart hammer! It's a sight you don't get to see very often, so I'm looking at it intently and waiting for it to be completed. And in about 20 minutes, the tonkatsu arrived! The coarse breadcrumb coating is golden in color and has a nice aroma. First of all, if you eat it with just salt, the flavor of the lean pork is rich and soft, and it is quite delicious. However, since the fat part has been cut off quite a bit, you won't be able to enjoy the delicious flavor of the fat that is characteristic of roast loin. With the quality of this pork, the fat would definitely be sweet and delicious! However, the quality of the pork is high, so it's irresistible for red meat lovers. By the way, I had the impression that this tonkatsu went better with the special sauce than with salt. The pork soup with lots of ingredients and vegetables are also delicious. To be honest, I wanted to taste the deliciousness of the fat if it was labeled as special. For this loin, fillet might have been better. However, the quality of the pork is high, so if you are going to eat tonkatsu in Oita, this is probably the type of pork that is recommended. Thank you for the meal!

::Excellent Pork Loin. Very tasty and tender. The katsu curry sauce is also really special like a stew. Great value for the meat quality.

::Short queue so better reserve. In pic is best loin cut. Almost raw core.
