::We only stayed for one night as a family and was a nice stay. The hot floor was nice and the onsen at our room. Location is very easy and the breakfast is over the top - book it with a breakfast. Nice sun rise and views with morning light. I would only complain that the AC did not really go on high mode at all. Stay was nice. Room was very clean. would stay there again. recommend. The drink at the bar while soaking your feet was a nice treat.

::If this is only 3.8 stars I really want to know what 5 stars gets you in japan. I've read the negative reviews and I must say my experience was the complete opposite. Lovely room. Exceptional service. Great food. Clean. They also helped me sort a shuttle to my next hotel and even showed me how to wear a Komodo correctly. Lovely staff all round. A truly amazing experience with my private open aired onsen. 100% recommend

::It was a really good hotel with amazing employees. Breakfast was really good and traditional. I could also use their hot bath alone in a private room for 45 minutes with amazing view. Their hot spring bath was also really good and pleasant. Rooms were big and had everything I needed. It's also close to the main hakone station.

::We had a great stay at Tensui Saryo during Hakone visit. It is very conveniently located near the train station from Hakone-Yumoto and the cable car that leads up to the Owakudani sulfur vents. Our room was beautiful and the mountain view was as well. The futons in our room were warm and soft, though being unaccustomed to them I did wake up a bit stiff. We had an outdoor hot spring-fed bath on the patio which was very luxurious - and did wonders on my back in the morning. The sulfur is filtered out so the water doesn't smell at all. The included breakfast was very good and the staff graciously accommodated my request for vegetarian offerings. It is an authentic Japanese style breakfast with many small dishes. Given the price I do wish that dinner were also included. There are several restaurants in the area but many were either closing when we got there or didn't open until later. The staff were all very kind and helpful. Do note that though the reservation includes one free drink at the bar per person it only applies to items on the menu. It wasn't entirely clear so when we ordered two cocktails we ended up being charged extra. They do offer free snacks and drinks when you arrive, which is a nice way to wind down while waiting for your room to be ready. Overall a very relaxing and pleasant stay.

::We had an amazing stay at Tensui Saryo for our honeymoon! As soon as we arrived, the staff were very attentive, friendly and welcoming. Our Japanese style room was very spacious with a lovely hot water bath on the balcony which could fit both my husband and I in. The view from the balcony was great. The Kaiseki style dinner and breakfast were very good and a great way to experience Japanese cuisine. We changed the meals for one of us to vegetarian which was no problem as long as you tell them 3 days in advance - they also did not charge us any extra for changing one to vegetarian which was good as we have been charged for this at another hotel in Japan. It was great to wear Japanese Yukatas around the hotel, these are provided by the hotel. The bar with a foot spa is also great, one drink is provided for free, would be good if the bar was open a little later though so the late dinner guests could use it if missed out earlier in the day. The location is absolutely excellent and only a few minutes walk to Gora Station! Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely stay again!
