::Good location. Friendly staff. The room I was staying was supposed to be designed by a Ferrari industrial designer. But the renovation and style sadly did not say so

::A one-night stay at the 300-year-old Zao Onsen♨️ Takamiya Ryokan Miyamaso for 2 adults, including breakfast and dinner, with 24-hour unlimited access to the hot springs. From the moment we arrived at the parking lot, we experienced 101% service. Because there was a long stone staircase leading to the inn, the hotel staff helped us carry our luggage up. I tried to carry my own luggage, but the staff wouldn't allow me to, which made me feel a bit embarrassed. At the entrance, four smiling staff members warmly welcomed us. After a simple check-in procedure, the receptionist thoughtfully asked if we had any food allergies; I informed her that my husband is a vegetarian. Then, an older staff member guided us on a tour of the hotel facilities and took us to our room for a brief introduction. We booked a Japanese-style room, which was very spacious, estimated to be about 450 to 500 square feet. The bathroom and toilet were in separate small rooms, and the room also included a scenic view room, a side room, and a main bedroom. The dinner was very generous, featuring 11 courses, while breakfast was delicately portioned. They put a lot of effort into the vegetarian dishes, and the dining service was attentive and thoughtful. I highly recommend this inn.

::Visited on 2024年3月11-12日. Located in Zaō Onsen, this ryokan has been established for over 350 years. The services were excellent and the personnel carrying. Diversity in bath is good. Some were quite old. The seseragi no yo furo (the baths allowing to hear the lapping of the river) are very relaxing. Breakfast and dinner are good with mostly local products. Be aware that the ski resort facilities are from another age. The snow quality was good at this time (but no more with view on the famous Zaō snow monsters...).

::This was one of my top 3 experiences in Japan for our 23 day trip in the country. We got the private villa with a private dinner and breakfast with our own private server. He was amazing, very knowledgeable, and fun to converse with. The onsens were amazing (my favorite part!!) The private one we had in our villa was the hottest at 122°F(temp taken with a cell phone. So maybe not super accurate, but it definitely felt that hot. It makes me sad coming back to my hot tub in Canada with a max of 104° The service was amazing, they came and took our bags for us . Everything was very clean, and the public onsens switch through out the night so you could try all of them.We really wish we could have spent more time here!! We will absolutely be coming back one day. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay ❤️

::The service for this Ryokan was beyond amazing. They accepted our forwarded luggage from a hotel in Kyoto and it was waiting in our room when we got there. They meals they give you for breakfast and dinner are massive and delicious! The room was extremely spacious with a separate living room a bedroom and 2 bathrooms! The Onsen was nice to have but was defiantly much too hot for my taste, i couldn't stay in for more than 10 minutes. When we checked out they even loaded our luggage into a vehicle and drove us to the bus station! This place was so peaceful and beautiful overall and definitely worth the stay!
