::Our stay was in early December and I can’t thank their staff enough. They were so friendly and nice, helped us to get the taxi and being extremely helpful for everything. We are so touched by the services. The room and everything were nice. There was a private Onsen you can use for free once during the stay. The breakfast was good too with Aso milk. We really enjoyed the stay and will definitely recommend this!

::room: spacious, the beds are not comfortable, so perhaps the tatami option would be more comfortable than the "western" beds. the shower is really good unlike other hotels in Japan. very clean toilet. hot baths: the public ones are good, the private ones (for a fee) disappointed us, they were not very well maintained (wood is rotten everywhere). we appreciated having access to hot baths but could have been much better (like the public ones). Place: the sky bar gives an exceptional view of the village. the service is good. Food: Food was good, but a lot of oysters and we're not a fan, so... Services : impeccable, that's why I put a 4 star and not a 3, the services is really something, people are so helpful and they makes sure to make your stay easy. Conclusion : I have the impression that for the price you can find better. I expected more luxury with the price paid. overall I recommend but I would probably have tried something else.

::We are impressed with the service, room and private onsen. The staff is extremely polite, helpful and attentive. The room is spacious, very clean, modern with a touch of tradition. Room comes with private onsen too. Dinner was delicious! Private onsen is clean too. An enjoyable experience. Will definitely come back again.

::Great modern Japanese Ryokan! If you're looking for a mix of Japanese tradition and modern accomodation, this is the place! There's a mixture of Japanese style rooms, Western style rooms, rooms with private onsen and rooms without. We picked "Sobo" for 3 people, the room was very spacious, spread over 2 levels. Two seperate living space and private inroom onsen. Amenities were full and nothing to complain about. There are also multiple private onsen onsite and public bath as well, tried both and were excellent and clean. We chose to dine outside the property for dinner, as it's known for unagi in the region, highly recommended as well. Breakfast was Japanese style and it was very good. Would definitely recommend this place.

::My place in Kyushu. Love it here. First, service is excellent; English and Mandarin speaking staff is available. Second, and more important; the whole place has something poetic about it - old and new mixed together very nicely. The building is traditional Japanese style, old but nicely renovated. The rooms are tatami, the hot springs are simple but very nice...you get a 40 minute session in a private pool pretty day. It's all got this authentic romantic flavor to it. Breakfast and dinner are great, traditional Japanese style. Love it! I'll be back.
