::It was past 1:00 pm on a Saturday in August, and there was a lot of waiting time at restaurants around the station, so I stopped by. This is a completely self-service restaurant where you use the ticket vending machine at the entrance to go to the food ticket (curry and rice) purchase counter, receive the ticket, secure your seat, and wait. The curry is served in a rational and hygienic ready-to-eat package, but it's delicious. It's cost-effective and perfect even when you don't have time.

::Limited edition chilled eggplant fried fox soba and beef rice. The soba noodles are dark-colored and traditionally served at station soba, but the firm, chilled noodles are also delicious. The fried eggplant has a nice texture as the eggplant is soft and coated in batter. The beef rice is a small bowl with beef burdock on top and has a slightly sweet seasoning. It goes well with chilled soba noodles. It's a meal ticket type. There are many menus, so it is best to decide on the menu before purchasing the ticket to avoid inconveniencing the people behind you.

::A standing soba restaurant near the ticket gates of Akita Station. They have a wide variety of menu items using ingredients from Akita. The "Cold Eggplant Deep-fried Soba" is sold as a summer limited menu item, and consists of cold soba noodles topped with deep-fried eggplant and served with broth. The eggplant absorbs the broth, enhancing the flavor, so it's highly recommended.
