Stayed there for 2 nights. The hotel is close to Shin-Osaka metro exit 7. Clean room with a delicious breakfast.

Room is dusty and barely maintained. Room air conditioner only provides warm air and this makes the room hot and stuffy. We have to open room windows to cool down the room. Then the room becomes noisy and is disturbed by noise of travelling trains next to the hotel.

New Osaka Hotel feels like a posh hotel that is run by a private equity firm. The rooms are meh and the amenities are OK, but there are too many negatives to warrant a second stay. If you're a childless back-sleeper, though, you'll probably be ok. 1) There's no public elevator to the lobby. Don't bring babies or toddlers. They have escalators to the lobby, but there are two entrances/exits on opposite sides of the building, one for up, one for down. What? 2) The guest lounge is only open from 8a to 8p and does not allow outside food or drink. It also doesn't provide food. There was a small refrigerator with drinks, presumably for a charge. 3) They charge ¥200 per towel for extra towels. We brought a small child, and apparently, children don't get towels, so we had to share. I actually paid for an extra towel, assuming I could use it for all 3 nights I stayed. Nope. They force you to swap out towels and charge you every night if you want the extra. 4) The beds were so hard that every movement translated into major vibrations and bothered anybody else in the bed. After 3 nights on them, I had bruises on both hips. Cannot recommend. 5) Given the price compared to other hotels we stated in, it was a STARK difference in quality. It felt more like a toyoko inn than a prince hotel, despite being priced as a prince. The location is pretty good, about 5 minutes from Shin Osaka station, so can't complain about that. There were also a ton of bars and restaurants nearby.

This is a hotel with good value for money. It is very close to Shin Osaka Station where we can take Shinkansen bullet train to Tokyo, which was the main reason we chose this hotel beside the room price. Outside the hotel, there is a row of vending machines where you can buy various kinds of drinks. Further at the corner, there is a 7-eleven convenience store. The concierge staff is friendly. Our rooms are rather small, but we get what we pay for. Want big room with cheap price? Not realistic expectation. Our room rate includes breakfast which is available in Japanese or Western. The cafe is at the lobby level, which is at level 2. There is an escalator up from ground level to level 2. From level 2 to level 1, I think the guests would need to take the stairs. I saw an elderly person seeking help from the staff to bring down her luggage. The room has an attached toilet/bathroom with shower and bathtub. The room amenities include a small table with a small fridge under it, a LCD TV, electric jug and hairdryer.

Very close to shin osaka station. Room very rather old, and wallpaper was peeling so definitely needs a touch up. Laundry was available downstairs. Overall, not bad but is quite old.
