  This hotel is located at Nagoya Station, very convenient for accessing Nagoya city area as well as nearby cities such as Gifu, Gero, Takayama, and Shirakawa. It's close to rail station, subway station, and the Meitetsu Bus Center, providing excellent transportation options. The staff are typical Japanese hoteliers, showing their friendliness and hospitality. However, as majority of hotel guests are mainly domestic people, their English may have little room for improvement. The breakfast offered local delicacies such as eel rice bowl, kishimen noodles, and miso pork cutlets, and they also provided typical breakfast like egg, bread, and so on. The lobby floor is connected to JR Gate Tower, with a Starbucks and a convenience store for added convenience. The rooms are more spacious than my expectation and I could see good views of Nagoya Station and its surroundings through windows.

  I had an excellent experience at this hotel. The service during check-in was very pleasant and professional. We got a free upgrade of our room (not a member of the hotel). The room itself was great. Good size, well maintained and cleaned and great view of the city. The bathroom especially was much larger and nicer than most Japanese hotels. The location is very convenient if you are stopping for a short time in Nagoya as the train station is literally next door to the hotel. I can highly recommend a stay here.

  There is no acknowledgment to being a titanium member in this hotel. After a very long and hectic journey to Nagoya, all we wanted is to just get into our rooms to unwind. I understand if there is no available rooms for an early check in. But at least you could offer us to freshen up and change at the toilet at the swimming pool? Even as titanium members we are not allowed to go to the pool area just to freshen up. This is utterly ridiculous and I’ve not gotten this kind of treatment in any Marriott hotels before. Definitely not staying in this hotel ever and I would advise you the same.

  My spouse and I, accompanied by our two children, had the pleasure of staying at the Nagoya Marriott Hotel from January 31 to February 2, 2024. Upon arrival, we realized our booking did not account for our children, leading us to inquire about breakfast arrangements for our stay at the front desk. We were informed that breakfast was not pre-arranged and would incur additional charges, which we accepted. The following morning, we enjoyed a delightful breakfast and confirmed our booking for the next day's breakfast at 06:30. However, due to an early flight requiring us to leave the hotel by 06:20, I approached the front desk to cancel our breakfast for February 2. The explanation given was that refunds could only be issued for the children's breakfasts because our room was booked using points, and thus, the adults' breakfasts were non-refundable. I then inquired if we could instead receive our breakfasts as takeaway boxes, a request to which the front desk kindly obliged, for which we were appreciative. Upon checking out on February 2, we were surprised to find charges for the takeaway breakfast boxes on our bill. This was perplexing, as the prior day's conversation led us to believe these charges would not apply. If the breakfast was included as part of our points booking, and therefore not refundable, we understood; however, we expected this to allow for an alternative arrangement without additional costs. I must express our dissatisfaction with both the quality and content of the takeaway breakfast boxes, valued at 4,000 Japanese yen, and our disappointment with the communication process as a whole. Our intent is not to seek a refund or decline the breakfast boxes, but rather to seek clarity on the discrepancy regarding the cancellation policy for adults versus children, especially since both were initially chargeable. Furthermore, I would caution against opting for the takeaway box option should you find yourself unable to utilize the breakfast service; it was, regrettably, a poor value for both money and calories.

  Great location next to the Nagoya station. Hardware is kind of dated. There was black mould on the ceiling in the washroom, the rooms are quite dark dimly lit and opening and closing of curtains have to be done manually. Service is dismal. No acknowledgement on bonvoy members and they only serve 2 bottles of complimentary water per day and would charge over 200 jpy per additional bottle. I have never experienced that in any Marriott or any big-chain hotels; heck you don't even see this in small independent hotels. Do better.
