::Friendly staff. The hotel has total of 2 guest rooms. It has 1 bath room shared within the house ( 1 person at a time). Food is good. It has 2 parking lots. To have dinner better to arrive by 18.00.

::This is THE BEST homestay I ever stayed in. The owner is warm and friendly, and she can speak a little English. The place is clean, has modernized toilets and strong running hot water. Breakfast and dinner is provided and both meals are awesome! The house is just located after the gift shop so it's very easy to locate and you don't have to trek too deep in the village with your bags. I will highly recommend this homestay to anyone! ************* Tip: Make sure to get off the bus at AINOKURAGUCHI bus stop as Google maps ask you to alight at another bus stop and you will get lost because the pathway may be blocked especially during winter.

::An unforgettable stay at one of the traditional Gassho houses steeped in history and impeccably preserved. The hosts are friendly and welcoming, the house is kept warm for those cold evenings and the food was delicious, though I never thought I'd try carp sashimi...but hey you gotta try it.

::We stayed one night at this traditional house and we enjoyed the experience so much. Dinner and breakfast take place in a common area with other guests (we were 6). Take into account that you'll eat without any chair or table, as it is a humble and traditional house. The food taste was ok, not super good, but this could be because we are not used to the traditional japanese cuisine. Room was as expected, simple and comfortable (japanese style). Walls are super thin and rooms are so close, you might need to bring some stuff to help you sleep. We don't put a 5 to the staff because even the host was really kind with other japanese guests, she wasn't with us (most provable because of the languaje limitation). We were not explained where the bathroom was or if we were able to have a shower.

::The mamasan at Goyomon was the best!! We enjoyed our stay here so much, dinner and breakfast were excellent, the room was very comfortable. We stayed here in November and it was pretty cold outside but there were plenty of heaters in the house to stay warm. The rooms are all adjacent to one another with sliding panel doors that separate them, so be mindful not to make noise. There is a very nice bathing room here which is open to use during any time. The village of Ainokura is very remote, quiet, and absolutely beautiful. Spend some time walking around the village, go make some Washi paper, and explore the museums which show how the village came to be and the very interesting construction methods of the houses there.
