Loved staying at Nakayasu Ryokan. It was quiet, cool, and the blankets in the rooms were super comfy after long days of traveling and exploring the city. Very close to the Market and the Castle. A 15 minute walk to the geisha district. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The warm complementary tea in the room was delightful.

Great hotel if you want to experience the full Japanese traditional hotel. Amazing food. The traditional Japanese dinner was fantastic and the amount of food was unbelievable. Really enjoy our time there

Really nice family-run ryokan. The owner and staff are extremely kind and made us feel very welcome, with a lot of little attentions. The dinner and breakfast were incredible, I highly recommend it. Also, we had surprisingly good coffee. The location of the ryokan is very central, with the jr bus stop and regular bus stop next door, walking distance from all key sights in Kanazawa. Thank you for your hospitality and until the next time!

Enjoyed the full experience at this family Ryokan with traditional Japanese rooms, separate onsen baths for males/females (lovely after a long day), delicious Japanse and Western breakfasts and friendly staff. Best of all is the excellent location allowing you to walk to old geisha district, castle and park, and gorgeous Kenroku-en gardens. Very handy and a great cultural experience.

Wonderful experience with dinner and breakfast. I wish we had stayed another night. The staff are incredible here, they speak very good English and were quite helpful with us first-timers to a Ryokan. The room was a good size (6 mat), and hot tea welcomed us. Dinner was incredible. Real deal kaiseki, with so many dishes I couldn't count them all. The sashimi was to die for, thick and so delicate. There was a huge variety. One of the highlights of our 20 day trip for sure. We slept shockingly well. Breakfast was delightful too. Highly recommend this Ryokan, great value for the money.
