::We enjoyed dinner and food here. Their dinner is really great and sumptuous. It's not far from the most famous sightseeing area, but it's much quieter to live here.

::Though it’s a 10 min walk from the central area, it’s a very good hotel with friendly staff and delicious dinner. The price is very reasonable with such a dinner in my opinion. They have tried their best to serve us. Highly recommended. It exceeded my expectations in many areas. Thank you.

::5 star hotel service! Very accommodating for non-japanese speakers. Little English is spoken and written but are accustomed to using translators. Stayed for 3 days. We choose to have dinner and breakfast. Everyday was a different meal. Lots of fresh fish and traditional Japanese meals. Onsen is men and women sperate. Even the private baths that are available for an additional fee(under construction at time of writing). Best time to go is at 2 just after it's been closed for cleaning if you are wanting a more likely private experience. Room is very spacious. Honestly one of the biggest rooms I've ever stayed in. Beds are firm and are separate but can roll and move together easily. Little sound proofing for any noise in hallway. Nights were very quiet. Things to know: Hotel location is a 10 minute walk from the main attraction. There are several way to get there. All of it is uphill. So be aware of that. Meals are small portions. But a lot. Always left very full. They will likely ask you what time you want cleaning, breakfast and dinner during your meal. There is a onsen fee for each day. 300 yen. They are very very nice! Will likely stay again if ever in kusatsu again!

::Best value for money. Dinner is very delicious and finicky. Great attention to detail. Onsen is good. Staff are also very nice. Nothing to complain!

::We visited this hotel with our two small children (one infant and one toddler). The hotel building itself was older, but it was cleaned very nicely and had a very Showa-style charm. Our room was Japanese, tatami-style and was very clean with comfortable futons and snacks prepared. There were indoor and outdoor baths for both male and female baths, and there were private baths to reserve which we took as a family. The Onsen water was hot and very nice! We had a Japanese, Kaiseki-style dinner and it was excellent. The staff were all amazingly nice and provided us every comfort, even though we had small, wild children! The location is perfect; just 7 mins to a big, open park and an easy 15 min. walk to the center square of Kusatsu-Onsen. If you are looking for an amazing Ryokan experience, this is the place to go!
