::Decent, clean and barebones hotel with a nice bathhouse, quick walk to the Yubatake (yet a steep walk back), but there’s a regular shuttle bus as well. Checkout announcements in the morning were a bit annoying.

::I can't recommend staying at this hotel or in Kusatsu in general if you are a foreigner. I can speak some Japanese, and even still it felt like everyone treated me negatively compared to how people treat foreigners in more populated areas. The wifi only works in the lobby. The shower was disgusting, extremely dirty. I don't have a car, so it was very difficult getting to and from the hotel especially with all my luggage. I highly recommend traveling somewhere else as a foreigner, even if you know some Japanese. If you are insistent on going to Kusatsu, spend the extra money and find another hotel.

::Economy hotel. Has a strange soviet vibe - they should rename as hotel north korea This place is definitely operating at a loss. Maybe demolishing costs too much? It does have some good points though.. Some pros and cons: Pro✅: - Cheap - Ok rooms, large, good views - Not too far away from center of town, walking distance - Baths are very good Con ❌ - No wifi in room, low reception for data. You must sit in lobby for wifi - They charge for extra towels - Weird atmosphere, feels like a communist bureaucrat building

::Went as part of a ski trip with friends. The decor of the hotel might not be to everyone's taste, but I can't complain. The rooms were generally clean, but the drinking glasses were stained and marked by fingerprints and dust which was slightly discomforting. Bathrooms are small, but not unusual for Japanese hotels. The heavy metal doors to the rooms made it feel more like a hostel, but the noise from other guests was minimal as a result. Centrally located to some of the popular attractions in the area, this is a good hotel for the price and amenities.
