::You could feel the age of this hotel. Closely located from the Ise Station. There's also a grocery store right across from the street to refresh your traveling needs. The bath hall is closed for maintenance, such a shame for losing the most desirable facility. Counter staff only speaks Japanese.

::Not bad at all, big room! Very good Japanese bathroom. It is probably not to everybody's taste but you have a nice view on the railways. Ideal for pictures. The breakfast has some nice local specialities. It is a very practical hotel.

::It's a business hotel, close to the station, with some helpful English signage and an interesting AI-powered FAQ (eg. What's the wifi password?) website which you can access via a QR code. Breakfasts are quite generous but get there early as the hotel seems to attract hungry guests.

::Rooms are on the larger side for a standard Japanese business hotel style hotel. Has a small onsen on the second floor and breakfast was at 6am when I stayed for the 2018 Oise-san Marathon (Ise Half). I stayed at the Ise City Hotel last year and found Pearl Pier to be cleaner and tidier - it feels like they may have done some small renovations such as new wallpaper. Easy check-in and check-out. Beds are rock hard 😞😂 Conveniently located about a 600 meter walk from Iseshi station, a little bit closer to Uji Yamada station. There is a small grocery store across the street to stock up on snacks and essentials but for dinner, I would recommend prowling the street in front of Iseshi station.

::Good: - a local supermarket is just across the road. A big drugstore (necessities) is just 1 or 2 blocks away. - convenient location if you are travelling on kinetsu trains. - breakfast is quite decent. - room is spacious enough for a Japanese business hotel. Not so good: - it just feels a lot more budget and rundown than other japanese budget hotels. I noticed a lot of small cost savings measures which adds up to a lot of inconvenience for myself. - the wifi doesn't reach the table in my corner room. Should be easy to resolve by switching rooms though. - it is quite a walk if you are coming from the JR station main entrance. Tourists using the JR pass should take note since you can only exit through the main entrance. I will stay here if I am the one booking/paying for it, but if you are booking for guests, try something newer.
