However, I felt that the hygiene in other areas was very poor. Water baths are especially bad. The amount of new water that enters the cold bath is only the water from the utase-yu and the water from the shower next to it, which is quite small, so the same water keeps piling up. Furthermore, the manners of the users are poor, with elderly people washing their heads by submerging themselves in the water, just like they would in a bath at home. Wash your hair in the shower. In such a state, there is a lot of hair, oil, and unknown debris floating in the water bath. Furthermore, since the bathtub is small, if someone uses the cassette bath, the water will spray onto your face. Children also sometimes used it as if it were a swimming pool, using the handrails as horizontal bars. I don't think it will be possible to maintain hygiene unless the amount of water circulated is increased by about 10 times the current amount. Other than that, when washing your body, you have to pull down a lever to turn on the shower, but many users leave their feet on the shower. I think the locker keys are rusty and the overall hygiene is poor.

  The large hall is very noisy to the neighbors until midnight, so the hostel should decide on rules for when lights should be turned off. It's separated by just one door, so you can hear normal conversations. When making a reservation, it should be written in the notes that the large hall must be shared by dividing it by a single door. Late at night, I hear stories about young people that I don't want to hear. It is divided into 6 doors, and the top 60cm is made of glass. It's usually bright unless the other side turns off the lights. There is no safety at all. It says to leave valuables at the front desk, but I was told to leave them in the safe in the room. However, there is only a small safe placed in the corner of the room. I think anyone can take it. This is terrible.

  A hot spring for city people who want a bath not far from home. Not worth a long distance trip.

  This is a countryside hot springs without the charm. Populated with mostly octagenarians and local residents. The baths are small, old and not well maintained. The restaurant is cafeteria style and tastes as good as you'd expect from a cafeteria. I would not recommend visiting this place unless you're really in need of a bath.

  We just came here for lunch after visiting a temple close by (Taisanji). Lunch was simple, but reasonable and tasty. They had a lot of choice, most of them were standard Japanese things like soba, udon, tempura, don, etc. They also have onigiri with kobe beef for the beef lovers. It's not a place to go eat nice, but that's probably not what people come for anyway.
