::We spent one night, with dinner and breakfast. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a mix of modern and traditional style in the best ways. The baths are a little small but it wasn’t an issue for me. The food served at dinner and breakfast was great, and the service with the food was amazing. It’s a great place to stay if you want a real Japanese experience.

::Traveling as a tourist in Kobe and Akashi/ Himeji area? I think this is one of the best hotel to stay. Away from the crowd and feeling the Japanese vibes. We went there to stay for a night and I would say a good decision to luxuriate ourselves in a Japanese Ryokan(hotel) within the city. •Food - Definitely recommended! Kaiseki cuisine that focuses on the fish caught in Akashi. •Location- we took Sanyo and only a straight line and few minutes from Hitomaru Sta. •Service- I love that the staff are really kind to accommodate us and tried their best to explain and communicate in English.

::Hitomaru Kadan was amazing. This was my second time visiting Japan and this has been one of my favorite stays. I was a bit nervous going into the hotel as my husband and I both have visible tattoos and this Ryokan is also an onsen (for my fellow foreigners, tattoos at onsens generally are not allowed). Upon arrive I did not see any signs disbanding those with tattoos and the concierge started our check in right away once we entered!! Phew! The service was impeccable and everyone was very kind. My husband and I did not partake in the onsen as we were exhausted the night we stayed but it looked beautiful and I would love the return and try it out. If you're sick of the tiny hotel rooms in Japan (the room was even larger than what is pictured), are staying in the kobe area, and love a good deal I highly recommend Hitomaru Kadan!
