  The staff are very friendly and helpful in all departments of the hotel. The breakfast is very delicious. I highly recommend this hotel when u visit SAPPORO. I would like to suggest, 1. Opening the restaurant for lunch &dinner 2. changing the bar closing time to 12am or 1 am. Thank u Sosei Sapporo 🫶🏼

  When we arrived at Hotel Sosei next to the old Sapporo factory, we were surprised to find that it was a boutique hotel. The decor is artsy and tasteful. The room furnishings are all of very high quality. We arrived a week before Halloween. The lobby, bar and restaurant were decked out with Halloween decorations even nicer and more extensive than I've seen in any business establishment in the US. The breakfast buffet is of very good quality. We really liked this hotel.

  This is a kind of a boutique hotel, so the hotel is very beautiful. The lobby, bar, and room are all beautifully decorated and well equipped and clean. It's a little far from the main street Susukino, so the surroundings are quiet. I used a taxi to get to the main street and it cost around 1,000 yen. The hotel staff was professional and friendly as well. The drinks at the bar on the 1st floor were delicious, and the breakfast at the restaurant on the 1st floor was very good. I liked it because there was a variety of Japanese menus for breakfast. It was very impressive that the manager (male, French) went around and greeted the guests at breakfast time. There is a shopping mall called Sapporo factory in front of the hotel, so it's easy to buy simple things.

  This hotel was almost perfect. It was very foreign friendly. Most of the guests were foreign and many of the employees were non-native Japanese so English was widely spoken. They also set the A/C in the room at 18 which I've never seen in Japan and I lived in Japan for years and also traveled widely for 30 years in Japan. I told my husband that showed how many of their guests are foreigners who like a cooler room temperature than Japanese usually do. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, again, very American style in my experience. The bedroom and bathroom were well appointed. Also extremely quiet. We never heard any guests or outside noise. The black out curtains were so efficient our children (in a different room) slept past last call for breakfast the first day. We had Executive Privilege and enjoyed Afternoon Tea or Happy Hour drinks most evenings. The breakfast was excellent as expected in a Japanese hotel. The location was less than a 10 minute walk to the Bus Station Mae station where you could catch the Tozai subway to many places. You could also walk a bit farther to the streetcar. There was a bus stop in front of the hotel which would also take you to Odori station and probably other places but we generally walked or took the subway from Bus Station Mae. There were a couple of malls across the street but those did not really have the shops or restaurants we like so we walked between 15 and 30 minutes to various restaurants. The area is not as lively as being near Sapporo station and required a bit more walking but the hotel was really superior and would highly recommend this hotel. The only thing keeping this hotel from being perfect was there was no restaurant for dinner. As I said there were places across the street in the mall and within a 15 minute walk even more options but sometimes I just want to have dinner in or order room service. But I can see that they probably wouldn't have enough business to warrant opening the kitchen at night. They did have a special Hawaiian themed buffet lunch during our stay but we were always gone during the day. It would have been fun to try. Our first time with M Gallery collection and I'm definitely going to seek this brand out again. Highly recommend.

  The first thing that hits you about the Hotel Sosei is the smell! The moment you walk in, you are greeted with a scent that makes you feel like you’re in the right place. The check-in was a breeze and even the water that they served us while waiting was infused with roses. The staff were extremely polite and everything we needed was provided promptly. The room itself was brilliant. It was spacious enough for us to have all 5 pieces of luggage open for us to repack some stuff. The bathroom was phenomenal with a really nice & new hairdryer to boot. Everything about the hotel and the room screamed luxury! My only issue with the hotel was that there is no parking on the hotel grounds and so we had to park away from the hotel. The parking space that we got was about a 5-minute walk away and relatively cheap. But it was just not great for someone like me who has a lot of anxiety. I would 100% stay at the Hotel Sosei again but next time, I just won’t drive.
