  We stayed in this hotel for 8 nights and honestly we are so glad to have chosen this accomodation. We booked the 2 connecting twin rooms (721 and 722) and it was spacious enough for our family of 4 plus 4 luggages. The location is the best - it is literally in front of Kyoto Station. The hotel is also close to lots of interesting places like Gion and shrines. There is a Lawson infront of the hotel and a hospital 3 minute walking distance. Our rooms were cleaned everyday and they provide free toiletries, sleepwear, slippers, skin care, kids pack, coffee, tea, etc. The staff were always polite and accomodating. They also provide Yamato/Takyubin service if needed. If we visit Kyoto again, we will definitely be staying here. 😊

  Rooms and amenities are well-kept. The hotel receptionist and housekeeping workers are kind and responsive to our requirements. s. The hotel is ideally placed across from Kyoto's bus station. There are other restaurants nearby (e.g., Kintetsu Mall, Porta Dinning), and you can get a quick breakfast across the street at Caffe Veloce and a quick snack at Lawson.

  Only issue is the AC doesn't cool the room down very well. But the location, size, quality, and comfort of the room was great Would stay again if I had too so if you see good deals, this would be fine choice

  This hotel is across the street from Kyoto station so it’s very easy to get around the city. The hotel looks old on the outside, but our standard room felt newly remodeled and very spacious for a typical hotel room in Japan. Some of the staff are nice but we had one that in my opinion was kind of up tight, so hence the 4 stars review. Other than that, it’s a pretty clean, spacious, and great location for a hotel!

  Upon arrival in Kyoto station, hotel was right opposite the station and can be found easily. There were convenient stores and restaurant around the hotel so it's quite comfortable. Getting to famous places like kiyomizu or fushimi is also pretty convenient by public transport. Even a taxi ride from shijio to hotel was about 1800 yen. Not too bad. Room was clean and toiletries can be taken at the reception. However, staff spoke little English and check in was slow. There was no proper queue system and it was a mess. I waited longer but served later. Tried to tell the hotel staff but they did not seem to emphasise with my situation. Hotel room also uses physical metal key and only 1 key. So good luck with that. Overall. I feel that it's ok place but one can do better. Service was underwhelming.
