::Dormy Inn has the reputation of having a hot spring in every one of its hotels and this one is quite large! Cold water, hot water and a sauna. They also serve Yakult and free cup noodle at certain locations. Wakayama I didn’t have the free cup noodle as it was late for me to eat so close to bed time. The spa was great and there was parking on site and at the rear of the hotel. Check in was smooth and facilities were great. Walking distance to the train station and large department stores. Recommended for those who demand a bit more space in their rooms.

::I recently stayed at Dormy Inn Wakayama for one night on a business trip. While the hotel is slightly pricier than typical business hotels, its location just a five-minute walk from Wakayama Station is very convenient. I took advantage of a weekday discount, which made the stay quite affordable. Upon arrival, I was able to check in my luggage before the official check-in time, and the staff kindly carried my bags to my room, which was a great help. The room was a bit small, making it difficult to open a large suitcase, but it was well-designed with separate areas for the bath, sink, and toilet, which added to the comfort. The room also had an inner door to minimize noise from the hallway, a thoughtful touch. Dormy Inn’s signature services, such as free coffee at the front desk, a complimentary nighttime soba noodle service, and a welcome dessert, were delightful and added to the overall positive experience. The hotel is surrounded by numerous restaurants, and the nearby Kintetsu and Mio shopping centers offer plenty of dining options, so finding a place to eat was never an issue. The mechanical parking garage, available for 1,000 yen per night, was also convenient for those traveling by car. I enjoyed using the large public bath, which included an outdoor bath and individual washing areas that offered a private feel. The quality of the hot spring water was excellent, making for a relaxing experience. The breakfast, priced at 2,300 yen, featured a wide variety of dishes made from fresh ingredients, ensuring a nutritious start to the day. Overall, Dormy Inn Wakayama impressed me with its excellent location, comprehensive services, and friendly staff. Despite the room being on the smaller side, the thoughtful amenities and services made for a comfortable and pleasant stay. I would definitely consider staying here again in the future. The rooms are compact but feature separate areas for the bath, sink, and toilet, providing a comfortable and convenient setup. The inner doors help block hallway noise, ensuring a peaceful stay. However, the rooms are small, making it difficult to open large suitcases. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. There is a mechanical parking garage available for 1,000 yen per night, adding to the convenience for those traveling by car. Nearby activities include shopping at the Wakayama Kintetsu Shopping Center and Mio Shopping Center, both of which are close to the hotel. There are numerous restaurants in the vicinity, making dining out easy and enjoyable. The hotel is conveniently located just a five-minute walk from Wakayama Station, providing easy access to transportation. Various tourist attractions are also nearby. The hotel offers a free nighttime soba noodle service, adding a unique and enjoyable touch to the stay. Safety measures at the hotel include inner doors in the rooms to reduce noise and ensure privacy. The mechanical parking garage adds a level of security for vehicles. The staff is attentive and provides excellent service, contributing to a safe and comfortable environment. The front desk offers nighttime service, and the lobby has a free coffee service available. The hotel is highly walkable, being just a five-minute walk from Wakayama Station. The surrounding area is flat and easily accessible, with numerous restaurants and shopping areas nearby. The smooth access from the parking garage to the rooms adds to the convenience. The hotel's location provides good access to nearby tourist spots and the large public bath within the hotel.

::Very nice breakfast. Beautiful onsen. Smallish and basic rooms with a very hard mattress and a very flat pillow. Location is good with lots of eating places close by.

::I strongly recommend this hotel with an exceptional rating for its awesome staff, service amenities, and thoughtful additional services that no other hot spring hotel offers, such as a free body massage machine and free ramen after the hot spring. I'm writing to express our gratitude for hotel team's excellent service, particularly Miss Nakano's support in contacting travel ticket agents, airlines, and rental vehicle agents in Japan during such a difficult time for us. On April 16, 2024, we booked one night in a hotel and returned to Hong Kong in next day, April 17th at 20:50. After we'd settled into our room, we tried online checkin for our flight then we realized the booking agent's error, they rescheduled our flight for 08:50 in next day rather at 20:50. It was stressful with short notice with many unknown circumstances. We spoke with booking agent in Hong Kong but with no confirmation for adjustment. Due to we had a rental car and it was supposed return to airport and the earlier in next day at 08:00 next day, which is impossible to catch up the flight at 08:50. In order, we had to contact airline, rental car agent, and flight ticket agent in Japan to see other option for us. Due to communication barriers, Miss Nakano spent almost one hour to contact three different parties . Even though the problem was not resolved, your professionalism and compassion made us feel welcomed and supported.

::I have mixed feeling about this hotel. The service was ok. We arrived hotel early and they let us store our luggage and check in early. There are free coffee all day. When we went back around 15:00hrs the luggage was already sent to our room. The room are quite decent size but the toilet is having slight unpleasant smell. 1 dessert was given in the room fridge (this won't be refilled daily same as all the other amenities) You don't get daily room cleaning but fresh towels will be hang on the door daily. The onsen was nice and they have free ice popsicle and free prebiotic drink. Daily half ramen is given every night at 21:30hrs. Breakfast was slightly disappointing as they are the same choices everyday. If you stay there the whole week be prepare to eat the same thing everyday. And we was given a room with Wall view which is quite disappointing for guest who have consecutive stay. Imagine look out the windows and its the wall everyday. It's quite depressing. The surrounding environment is quite boring to be honest. Maybe it's the city itself is boring. Not much shop open daily. Maybe most of the sightseeing happens outside of the city itself. Even the department store and supermarket close by 19:00hrs
