::I stayed in a double bed room with a friend. Even though it is a room for 2 people, they only gave 1 room key. The mattress sank so much in the middle, it was hard for 2 people to sleep. I have neck and shoulder pain and couldn't actually sleep because the mattress wasnt flat. The floor was a better option, except it was too cold to sleep on. Spending my night at McDonalds instead. Save your money.

::This is my first time staying in APA hotel, and these are what I think about this hotel during my staying. 1. Service wasn’t very satisfying. A little bit below the average. 2. For the same price range, several hotels around are actually much much better. I stayed in the Richmond Himeji as well, and the price was the same as APA, but it’s cleaner and more beautiful, the service is definitely much better. Plus you can get some skin care products there, very sweet. 3. The hotel itself and the room look very old. The bathroom was kinda dirty and some parts were almost broken. TV was too dark to watch in my room, and they could do nothing with it. 4. You can’t really control the temperature on AC. 5. Room card was broken. 6. Location is great.

::This hotel is good value for money. It is quiet despite being located in a very lively area. The location is very convenient as it is just a few minutes walk from the station and to the castle (which was the reason for our stay). There are plenty of shops and restaurants around. Everything was really clean.

::Good location but by far the most uncomfortable bed from my whole 3 weeks in Japan. Pillow was essentially a piece of A4 paper and the mattress was awful and ridiculously squeaky. Sleeping on the floor would have been more comfortable. The bathroom door is glass and faced the bed so not much privacy. The hotel was clean but not comfortable.

::A Rude Front Line Staff Ruin the Experience: - We were a group of 10 and checked-in the hotel in the evening of 6Nov 2016. The male staff at reception got frustrated when he was not able to manage the check-in of our bookings of 6rooms (1twin, 3double & 2singles). His face turned black, impolite & rude when talking to us. He threw the guest registration forms in front of us; using the end of the pen to point and told us to fill in. We did not expect such kind of bad attitude from such a popular hotel chain in Japan. He even gave us the wrong information when we asked about car parking issues. The whole experience was so bad. - Fittings in the rooms were a bit old and need refurnishing, eg. the door of toilet was somewhat broken, many stains on the bathtub and basin, etc. Stains were found on towels too. - Location of hotel is good with easy access to restaurants, convenience stores, dept stores, and JR station. There are also many car parks nearby.
