::We had 3 rooms with balconies outstanding views of the river, mountains and valley. Waking up each morning was a pleasure and strolling across the 2 bridges was a thrill. The peace was just sublime. Our rooms were spacious and clean, the staff were always helpful and polite. On our first night we had a set menu dinner, which just kept coming and by the end we were all extremely full and enjoyed the experience.

::Best accommodation you will find in these areas. You get amazing views of Sakura trees if you happen to go in March-April. The food was also amazing, I will visit again for sure next year!

::We have stayed in the ryokan for three nights. General impression: Good! Great location by the river, short drive from Tokushima. Nice places to see in the area of Kamikatsu, both nature as well as other sights. The building itself is a bit simple, don’t expect refined ryokan details. However, it’s well equipped - there’s two baths that rotate (male/female), shop both with local food / gifts as well as some basic necessities, which is good because the nearest convenience store is 11km away. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The rooms: Basic, but good - nice baths (wooden or stone - you can choose at booking, at least by phone). The baths are facing the river and have large window that can open so guests can enjoy the sound of the river. Other than that, not much to say. The food: This was the biggest disappointment - it’s expensive and very underwhelming for the price. Sashimi portions minuscule, other food bland. The only thing that stood out was (again really small) portion of local boar meat. Staying for three nights in total, we got really annoyed by the food in the end. Little variety too. There’s some other places to eat in the area which are really good but require reservation at least a day in advance.
