  We stayed for a night.Our room was beside the housekeeping room. At around 4 am , the counter staff began to place bedsheets, pillow covers, bath robes on the designated chair along the corridor so as to enable the housekeeping staff to do the job of cleaning faster. The noise from the movement along the corridor awaken us. The room door is not sound proof. It is a rather old hotel but the room rate is value for money. One can get hot/cold coffee/tea/water from the drinks machine free of charge but only papar cups are provided. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to Tenjin shrine and a 15 minute walk from JR station.

  Considering the price (3000JPY/night) good budget hotel. Security and room cleanness is poor. No keys needed to go up to guest room floor and elevator goes direct to room floor without pass in front of hotel desk. Bed and bath room are well cleaned, but dated. Room is a bit filthy. Under the bed or behind curtain is uncleaned.

  OK for bag packer, not OK for others. Don’t go. Terribly dirty, old, small, smelling, not secured rooms with high price. I stayed on Aug-14 to watch the Awaodori festival and paid ¥20000 because all the hotels were booked except this hotel, unfortunately. Crazy expensive! I will never stay the hotel!!! Why? This hotel is awful!

  Great place to stay for a night before starting my cycle! Breakfast provided and there is a safe place to park your bike! Has everything necessary for daily needs!

  I really enjoyed the place. It is cheap and old so you do not expect a new super comfortable rooms. Rooms are small but you will have all the services that you need for a short stay at Tokushima (best option for low budget). I even sent my luggage from Narita airport to this hotel and when I arrived (3 days after) the staff have already put it at my room. Staff is super kind, they will probably ask you if they can take a picture of you when you get to the second floor (front desk) to pick up your breakfast (small bread, banana, a can of juice, a cup of coffee, and other bread with sweet beans inside), the walls at second floor are full with those pictures of travelers from around the globe. Staff can understand english and they also practiced their spanish with us. The place is very near (5 min walk) to the Awa Odori Kaikan, go there is a must, you will enjoy it even if you do not understand japanese at all. Also Tokushima train station is about 20 min walk from hotel.
