::Stayed for 4 nights. Hotel location is good as its only a short 5-10 mins walk from Nankai Namba Station (which links directly to Kansai airport) and just a few minutes further walk to shinsaibashi. The mattress was hard which is good for my back. The room and toilet are clean. All other amenities functioned well. I had booked a smoking room as the non smoking ones were fully booked. It was unfortunate but expected that the room has cigarette smell but a room freshener spray was kindly included which somewhat resolved this. The room rate includes breakfast which has a decent variety. Additional praise for the effort to try and change some of the food items each day so I am happy to be able to try something different every day. To all the other moaners who complained, please think first about how much you are paying. You don't pay 2-3 stars rate and expect 5 stars. This is Japan and hotel rates are generally very expensive. However for this hotel, it is very gd rate and certainly excellent value for money.

::This hotel was good for its location, close the convenience store, drugstore, a Sukiya and the Namba Yasaka Shrine. The staff are super friendly and the location is convenient to get taxis. The room is a bit on the smaller side, but it makes up for it for being clean and the breakfast included was good.

::The bed was so uncomfortable where you can feel the springs, and the pillow was lumpy. We couldn't get through a proper night sleep of rest in the time that we were here. Also because the building is old, there are some issues with the piping - for us we can smell poop smell in our room and constant dripping sound. Distance wise is also far from all main attractions, with surrounding area to hotel kinda dead. The only plus point is it's cost effective, hotel gives fresh towels everyday and the staff were really nice and polite.

::Very disappointing and unsatisfactory service during our stay in Toyoko Inn Osaka Namba Nishi in Jan 24. The unfriendliness of Toyoko towards elderly or disabled or travelers with chronic condition was an awful experience. My travel partner has diabetes and need to preserve insulin with frozen coolant next day. We asked to see whether we can store our coolant in their fridge to mke sure the coolant frozen. But, our request was turned down by Toyoko Hotel. We have done so in previous traveling with generous assistance from different other hotels.

::Very clean, includes any needed amenities like hair dryer and hot water pot, as well as a tasty Japanese breakfast buffet, all for a very cheap price. A short walk from Namba Parks or Takashimaya. Only downside is thin walls; if you have a noisy neighbor you'll hear them.
