::Great restaurant to go to in kochi to try some local food, you could try whale meat and other hot pots.

::Popped into this place just before closing and ordered this really nice set dinner. Can't believe how much food it was and good it was considering the low price. Even the meat was nice and tender. It was close to closing, so they were out of chawanmushi and they gave me ice cream instead. Servers very nice.

::Had a nice sushi dinner here. Ordered the huge platter for four people, which included one lobster, some straw grilled bonito, amberjack and tuna sashimi, 5 mini crab claws, marinaded sardines, one octopus and one saba fish on rice. There were also five fried prawns, various sushi, and three melon slices. The ingredients were fresh though the tuna was a tad bland. The lobster was good, as was the mini crab claws. We also ordered a plate of squid sashimi. This was fresh but the pieces were cut quite thick. We also had a plate of whale meat, which came with some slices of skin. It was okay. Price, including one hot tea and three mugs of Asahi beer, came to around 19000 yen. We were served by two elderly, friendly ladies upstairs, where we sat on tatami mats.

::Lunch. Fairly busy. Seated on the floor. 15 minutes before a server came to take order. Food is good.
