::TORAYA TOKYO – The Best Café for a Relaxing Break Near Tokyo Station Located just a short walk from Tokyo Station, TORAYA TOKYO is a must-visit gem for travelers. It's the perfect spot to drop by when you are exploring the area. What makes this café a top recommendation? There are numerous reasons. The interior of the café provides a cozy atmosphere where you can unwind and enjoy traditional Japanese sweets. It's also one of the rare cafes in Japan where you can make reservations, allowing for a well-planned visit. Even that would be enough to justify a stop, but there’s more. Despite being conveniently connected to Tokyo Station, the café's entrance can be a bit tricky to find, which means it's usually not too crowded, allowing you to relax in a wonderful space. The café offers spectacular views of the Marunouchi business district from its windows, adding more than just culinary delight to your experience. It's an ideal place to rejuvenate during your travels and take a brief respite. If you're sightseeing, consider pausing here on your way to or from the Imperial Palace. Take a moment at TORAYA TOKYO to soak in the charm of Tokyo and enjoy a peaceful break from your busy day.

::Very elegant and traditional restaurant. The dishes look like normal food, but when you eat it, you will find that it tastes completely unexpected! Just inside Tokyo Station, it’s a convenient place to enjoy brunch.

::It's a good place to find some quietness in-mid the noise and hectic of Tokyo Station. Attached to the restaurant there is a shop where you can buy traditional Japanese sweets.

::We came here because this is one of the oldest traditional Japanese confectionery stores. While the staff didn't understand English they did their best to help and gave us a English brochure. We got Monaka and Mantou (only available at the Tokyo station store), and so far only tried Mantou, which was good, but not crazy.

::Always outstanding. Of course the Toraya yokan is great, especially served with matcha. The atmosphere is also very nice, especially when it is not so busy, with relaxing jazz music to accompany your meal. Highly recommended for a relaxing drink and wagashi or a light meal.
