  I will always tryout The Peninsula if there is one in my destination. It is difficult to standout in a city like Tokyo where there are plenty of luxury hotels with impeccable services, but Peninsula will always have a special place for me. The location is great, very near to Ginza and there is a subway just below the hotel. The view over the Imperial Palace is very nice and comparing to many Japanese hotels, the room here is very spacious. I can always trust the laundry service at the hotel for delicate cloth, and it always returns in time. Overall another great stay and looking forward to the next one.

  Perfect hotel for couples in Tokyo. Best concierge I have ever used in Tokyo Even the smallest room you can book has a walk in closet so that you never have to sleep next to your suitcases. Bathrooms are indulgently large. The service is possibly the best in the Peninsula portfolio, which means it is one of the best in Tokyo. Location is unbeatable, it’s also the only hotel in Tokyo that has a Toyota Century courtesy car in a very special green color. Going for a run around the imperial palace is one of life’s greatest pleasures and jet lag cures. Truly a special hotel that continues to be our home in Tokyo.

  Service is excellent and is expected. second time around, I was checked in a room that smelled and corrected right away. The lobby restaurant food is excellent. Highly recommend to go and stay there during your visit in Tokyo

  I recently visited The Peninsula’s lobby and shop for a rendezvous with an old friend. The lobby, though not large, exuded a refined and upscale atmosphere, complete with the iconic bellboys and bellgirls in their famous uniforms welcoming us warmly. However, my anticipation of finding a variety of Peninsula-branded merchandise and bears, similar to those in Hong Kong or Thailand, was met with disappointment. The shop primarily focused on sweets and lacked the diverse selection I had hoped for. Moreover, locating the shop proved to be a challenging task as it was not easily accessible, and the staff’s aloof demeanor did not invite questions, leaving me to wander the premises multiple times before a helpful staff member near the front desk finally approached me to offer assistance. While I did not stay at the hotel and cannot comment on their accommodation services, I felt that a touch of approachability could enhance the overall guest experience in such an elegant setting. Additionally, an incident at the payment where a staff member in black abruptly entered the cashier area, inspected something, and left without any interaction was particularly off-putting. It seemed out of place, especially without any acknowledgment or consideration of my presence. For an establishment as renowned as The Peninsula, I had expected a higher standard of guest interaction and a more welcoming shopping experience.

  My recent stay at Peninsula Tokyo was nothing short of amazing. The spaciousness of the room exceeded my expectations, providing a luxurious and comfortable environment. I was particularly impressed with the efficiency of the laundry service, which added a great deal of convenience to my stay. The front desk staff also deserve a special mention for their speedy and proficient handling of both check-in and check-out processes. Also, the concierge team at Peninsula Tokyo truly sets a high standard for resourcefulness and flexibility, distinguishing themselves from other luxury hotels. Their exceptional service was vividly demonstrated in how they handled restaurant bookings. For instance, their efforts in securing a table at the highly sought-after Tempura Fukamachi were remarkable. They not only managed to book us a spot in a usually hard-to-reserve restaurant, but also showed incredible ingenuity and persuasion skills by arranging an extra seat for us at a table that was typically set for two. This level of proactive and thoughtful service, going above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction, was not just impressive but also deeply appreciated.
