::I recently had the unfortunate experience of being treated at JIKEI university Hospital for a vocal chord polyp surgery, and I must say it was an absolute nightmare. The level of incompetence, disregard for my medical history, and complete lack of communication among the staff left me utterly disappointed and frustrated. Despite being referred to JIKEI hospital by my specialist with a detailed referral letter for a surgery, they treated me as if I were a brand new patient. It's shocking that they ignored the fact that I had been under the care of a specialist for the past 10 months, only to start from scratch and waste precious time by performing unnecessary check-ups.. This level of disregard for my medical history is simply unacceptable. To make matters worse, when it came time to schedule my vocal chord polyp surgery, they made a glaring mistake. Despite having ample time to prepare and being fully aware of the purpose of my visit, they failed to properly book the surgery. As a result, I was forced to take an entire month off from work, only to be met with surprise from the doctor who believed it was a routine check-up. Wry frustrating! When I realized that I couldn't rely on JIKEI for my surgery, I had no choice but to seek treatment elsewhere. NO ONE apologized for their mistake. They seemed completely indifferent to the fact that they had inconvenienced me and wasted my time, money and energy. It's evident that they have a severe lack of coordination and communication within their own institution. It is incredibly disconcerting that I had to repeatedly explain the reasons for my visits and provide my medical history to different doctors each time. The lack of thoroughness in reviewing patient files and previous visits only highlights their disregard for providing quality care. To summarize, my experience at this hospital was nothing short of a nightmare. From the initial mishandling of my referral to the scheduling error and subsequent lack of apology, this hospital has proven to be a textbook example of incompetence and negligence. If you value your time, health, and sanity, I strongly advise you to seek medical care elsewhere. The last thing you need when dealing with a serious medical condition is a hospital that fails to communicate and doesn't prioritize your well-being.

::Thinking of this place angers me! I spent my morning wasting my money and time here only for my kid to get worse. My kid came in with severe asthma and cough. My hotel called ahead of time to make sure they can speak English and they can treat my kid. I was told the front desk and doctors spoke perfect English, they did not. The ER doctor was so incompetent, gave my daughter the wrong dosage which made her condition worse. Sent me home with her still coughing and they used the most outdated machine I have ever seen. I gave the dosage advise by the doctor and her cough picked up even more. This requires me to find another doctor to see her the same day to stop her cough, who told me that it was under the normal threshold for this particular medication. The audacity to send me home and say they could only do so much for her, took my money without properly treating her… it’s unethical. If you are traveling and are sick or have sick kids, please go somewhere else.

::Now, with the new building, it’s a comfortable place when compared with the one I knew two years ago. Modern environment reducing the human interaction and long lines when coming for a consultation. The escalators connecting the different floors are convenient, reducing the proximity among patients.

::Great hospital, had plastic surgery for a cancer on my face. Because of the brilliance of this surgeon I have zero scars. Stayed for a week here and was treated very well, of course the food was hospital food. It’s a hospital. I believe the foreigners complaining here probably have a very low comprehension of the Japanese language. My doctor spent hours planning my surgery and explained it very clearly to me. Excellence, put yourself in their hands with confidence.
