    Seasoned boiled egg chashu noodles with rich flavor Many ramen restaurants close after 3pm, but since it's a chain restaurant, we're thankful that they're open all day. You can choose from three types of soup: rich, light, and street food. The rich soup is rich in the flavor of the chicken and has a consistency similar to that of ankake (red bean paste). I remember that I finished the rich soup last time, and I finished it this time as well. Next time I would like to try a different flavor.

    It was my first time ordering Rich Max. When I come to Tenichi, I definitely eat rich ramen, but this was my first experience with Kotori MAX, and I wonder how rich it is. The rice bowl arrived after about 5 minutes of waiting. Rich MAX ramen with pork, menma, green onions, etc. on top of rich MAX soup and noodles. It doesn't matter, but the words "Kotteri MAX" are engraved on both the bowl and the spoon. When I scooped up the soup right away, it was so thick that it made a dent. The soup that spreads over the astragalus is so thick that you could almost call it a stew, and it feels more like eating than drinking. The flavor of the vegetables is very concentrated, the texture on the tongue is very good, and the sweetness of the vegetables is very good. When I scooped up the noodles, the soup became sticky and heavy, making it feel like eating cream-based pasta. As usual, if you slurp it up, the soup might splash on your clothes, so you sip it carefully, but it's still delicious. It was a medium-sized portion, so I finished it in no time, and it was a great meal.

    The premises seems clean enough, and there are COVID measures in place i.e. masked staff, plexiglass at the counter seats (only), and hand sanitiser. Staff were flat and emotionless. The food was rather disappointing, the gyoza are made with paper thin wrappers, but were not crispy (the cook had time, since I was the only customer in the restaurant) and were scrawny and not sufficently filled. The noodles were fine, but the broth lacked depth, and the biggest disappointment of all was the rice that came with the set meal. Was this rice really made in a Japanese restaurant in Japan? The rice grains were not smooth, fluffy, plump individual pearls, but were on the dry side, and was served to me lukewarm. Definitely not a restaurant - or chain for that matter - that I would come back to.
