::Really lovely Ryokan. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The surrounding waterful and nature was so calming and beautiful. Rooms were comfortable and immaculate. We went onsen hopping and Tae no yu definitely had the best baths and facilities in my opinion. Thank you so much!

::Very lovely for a daytime onsen trip. It's a little pricey (¥1500 for entry plus towel rental) but some of the nicest onsen facilities I've ever seen. Super beautiful wood and a combination indoor-outdoor bath in the gender-segregated area. The mixed-gender outdoor bath was also absolutely lovely, but when I went there were only men, and I saw a few other women go look and come right back into the womens' area because of that. Apprently there are womens' only hours but I'd imagine that kind of thing happens a lot. Either way I'd definitely recommend it.

::We enjoyed the baths. However we were very disappointed to find the baths closed for day trippers when we came first, because the website states 'open 24h' on the English page. When I showed the website to the staff, they were not apologetic at all. However it's your business' mistake, not ours. We also didn't find 3 non-mixed outdoor baths, like mentioned on the website again, but only 2 mixed ones. A lady cut my conversation with my partner to show us the onsen entrance, probably thinking we were lost, and she made me uncomfortable by rising her eyebrow when I showed signs of misunderstanding (I didn't expect her to talk to me in English as I can communicate in Japanese, and was trying to fix something else by discussing with my partner). Price was the most expensive of all the nearby onsens for a limited number of baths, free water was not provided and the weight scale in the changing rooms not working. Pretty sure they don't care about the customer service as they receive enough people to keep the business running. Very sad.

::Was the food good? It was great. Was the parking way? Yes! Waterfall pretty? Yes, when in the onsen it’s even more so! However, the famous Japanese hospitality is lacking. Check in took the longest of all ryokans I’ve stayed, nearly 30 minutes. Other guests’ luggage delivered to my room. During dinner, one server said to add the kiritanpo rice cake once boiling for 1-2 minutes, another server indicated 20 seconds. Overall, a confusing stay.

::This would definitely be one of my unforgettable experience!!! We stayed here for 1 night, (28-29/01/2024) room with the river view, so amazing. Everything and everyone attention to details is impeccable. Welcome drinks with green tea and miso soup looking out to the river while they check us in. The baths are amazing especially the mixed and private ones with the waterfall view. Every guests are in yukata, so cute. Dinner and Breakfast serves in courses with great care, it's a while experience by itself. We will definitely be back thank you for one of the best experience!
