  On the way to Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture on March 30th, we had lunch at a soba restaurant that looked like an old folk house. I ordered tempura zaru soba for 1,730 yen and spicy purple radish grated soba for 1,740 yen with tempura. Both come with dessert. Both the soba and tempura were delicious (^o^)v Sobayu is also rich (^o^) No smoking allowed. Parking available. Thank you for the meal~o(^o^)o

  What a gem! Every dishes we ordered is superb and service is top notch. Waitress rejected my order of Sake as I was driving...how thoughtful is that. Will visit again for sure for my next trip in Gifu.

  An early dinner here after visiting Gifu Castle and feeding squirrels. One of the best soba restaurants I have visited to date, and I've tried quite a number. Not only that, they actually serve other dishes which they also do excellently, this includes the Yuba and the Dashi Tamago. They serve the best dashi tamago I have had, light, fluffy, just right, saturated with dashi stock but not soggy. It had the texture of egg swirl, except in soft, solid rectangular forms. Definitely go for their duck set as pictured here. You cook it yourself in their stock which features negi fried in the duck's fat. Dessert is part of the set, and a perfect surprise at the end.
