::Very good and ideally located in front of the train station. Quiet, clean and well equipped.

::Great hotel that's opposite the JR station and has F&B outlets nearby. Room comes with basic amenities and you can get the tea bags, toothbrush, hair wax, shampoo, etc from reception area.

::Western Tourist's comments, April 16 2023 stay Cheap compared to the competition. Easy access from the train station even with heavy oversized luggage, good washroom and shower, tired room with older carpet and furniture, small flat screen TV, new soundproof windows that open. Very good western breakfast buffet which is served hot with granola and toast available and also there is a Japanese breakfast choice. No English TV channels. Air conditioning and heat are controlled in the room but come from a central source so only one is available at a time so we had no air conditioning on an unseasonably warm spring day (but we could open the window). Good door lock and the elevator is controlled by your room key so I felt safe. Many restaurants around. Conclusion is great location, good washroom, good safety, good "free" breakfast but price compare with it's neighbors because it is a bit tired and you should be happy with the price.

::The room is so tiny I hv nowhere to open my luggage. I suppose that could be so in Japan (but I really would not have expected so outside of the major cities). But worse still, their Wi-Fi just doesn't work properly. It coes and goes as it wishes!!!! This is just not acceptable for advance places like Japan!!!!

::Its an "okay-hotel". Rooms are clean, beds are comfy, staff is friendly. It lacks on the modern side of japanese hotels; the tvs are small, the toilet seats not heated, the interieur of the rooms kind of seem old and the elevators are currently packed in plastic (I guess for renovation purposes). Those are all little details and by all means no real complaints. The problem is that other hotels of this price range offer a better impression and experience, so the rating can not reach 4/5. If you are looking for a place to stay a few nights in Ueda, then there is no problem. If you want to enjoy your trip for longer and stay in this area, then you might be better off checking the other hotel alternatives nearby. 3/5.
