  My stay at Shirouma So was my favourite part of my Japan trip (and that is high praise). The food and tea was exceptional. The rooms and onsen are amazing. The loveliest owners and staff.

  A lovely traditional Japanese rakutan . But beware of the onsen- it is very HOT! Friendly staff and ideally located for skiing.

  Visited Shirouma So for a 1hour private onsen, the staff were friendly and the whole experience was so relaxing. Approximately $30aud for 2 people too!

  We have stayed at 10+ Ryokan in Japan and this is best by a mile. Lovely family run Ryokan with the best food we have ever had. 5 min walk from the bus station or they will pick you up from the train station.

  Perfect place. Onsen is quiet and nice and staff is very friendly. When I arrived on the bus it was raining and they picked me up in a van even though it wasn’t requested or expected. Their communication is also very thorough and they speak English well. Some of my favorite Japanese meals were at the hotel. And it’s steps from from ski resort and close to everything else you will need. Authentic, stylish, and classy Japanese rooms. Very comfortable.
