I heard that there are occasional days with very strong winds, but it all depends on your luck. It looked like a really nice campsite, so I thought I'd come someday. However, this time I would like to share my thoughts on something completely different. . . It happened to be around noon, so I decided to eat lunch at the management office and shop, but at first glance I thought it was a typical menu at a tourist spot, so I went for the gyudon without much expectations. It took a while for it to be completed, so I thought it looked like they were making it properly rather than trying to make it. When I took a bite of the finished Shihoro Beef Bowl, I was surprised at how delicious it was! The meat of Shihoro beef is tender and the fat is sweet and delicious! The sweet and spicy seasoning is also exquisite! I'm sorry that you thought it was a waste of a tourist spot. It seems that there are other menus using Shihoro beef, Even if you camp at night and cook your own meals, we recommend eating at a shop for lunch.

  August 13, 2024 It was hot in Shihoro town, around 30 degrees. I thought it would be cool since it's on a plateau, but it was hot and humid during the day. It's cool when the wind blows. As the sun set, the temperature became comfortable. There were 4 large family tents and I was the only one with a small motorcycle tent. Maybe it's because the forecast is cloudy? There isn't much flat land, so if it's too crowded, you might want to set up on a slope. There were quite a few insects during the day, but they disappeared at night. It takes 20 minutes to get to the nearby store, so it might be a good idea to hang out and then go shopping.

  I didn't realize for many years that such a wonderful campground existed. Spreading out on the mountainside of Higashi Nupukaushi Nupuri, You can see the Tokachi Plain clearly. It is a very pleasant campsite where you can see the majesty of the Hidaka Mountains. Most of the sites are on grassy slopes, but since I went there when it was empty, I was able to pitch my tent on a flat site right next to my car. The reception staff also welcome you with a smile and make you feel very comfortable. Both the toilets (flush) and the kitchen are clean. There are a lot of crows hanging out in the upper part of the campsite, so it's a good idea to put food inside your tent or in your car when you leave your tent. I am a docomo user, and there were only two antennas standing where I pitched my tent. Three antennas were erected around the restaurants and shops, as they were located in a position where the city could be seen directly.

  The view is great. Although it is not as well known and the facilities are not as new as Naitai Terrace in Kamishihoro Town, I think it is a good tourist spot. There are cottages and yakiniku facilities available for lodging. At the cafeteria, you can eat udon soba, curry, and Shihoro beef bowl. And the soft serve ice cream is delicious.
