  Although location is not easy to visit, but 2 characteristics of the Ryokan is highly recommended for the whom to consider staying. The quality of onsen was so great, especially the open-air bath experience. And the kindness of Ryokan hosts were memorable that every contact with them was full of the wholehearted warmth.

  We are here early December, not many people here, and it is fantastic. For nature and hiking lovers this is the best place. We traveled Hokkaido to the far north, but here is the most snow and the food and onsen are beautiful as the mountains. Will rent snow shoes today and go up the mountain. This is the view from the room, which has the spirit of an alp- mountain hut

  Toppest altitude hotel reachable by car around nearby area. View was quite good at early October season. Trekkers park the car around here and start their journey.

  We didn't stay but the outdoor Onsen was spectacular with views of the mountains. A very cold and windy day made the indoor ones very pleasant.

  We loved our stay here. The onsen is great - amazing views and iron rich red water. It is pretty traditional and low key, as is the accommodation, but it was exactly what we wanted. The food was incredible and highly recommended. A perfect and very relaxing stay - thank you!
