::Loved my stay at Sanga Ryokan with my gfs. Hotel is off the track hence it was very tranquil. The room we had was large for 4 and we had our own onsen in the room. Hotel had several other onsen and our fabourite was the outdoor bath (makes the heat more bearable). Sanga is a traditional ryokan. Some might feel that the furnishings are dated but I loved it. Service was great. I really loved the valet uncles and all the service staff at the ryokan. Very kind.

::Sanga Ryokan is absolutely amazing! We took a bus into Kurokawa and a staff member came to pick us up. They served us desserts and tea while they were setting up our room and handling the luggage. We stayed in the Nejiki room with a private bath. The room is spacious, comfortable, and very quiet. It was extremely peaceful being surrounded by nature and only hearing the sounds of the river nearby. We weren't entirely comfortable using public baths yet, so it was nice to have one directly within our room. Big shout out to the lady who served our kaiseki meal! She was so sweet and friendly - really going out of her way to make our honeymoon such a special and unique experience. We were really hoping to see her again before we checked out so we could thank her one last time. Overall - amazing experience. The food, service, and stay was great and we couldn't recommend it more.

::Ryokan Sanga is truly a one of a kind experience. The ryokan is located in a secluded area, surrounded by trees, nearby a small river. I have never seen such beautiful colours, everything is green and vibrant. The outdoor onsen baths allow you to soak in all the beauty. The hotel also has a variety of indoor baths, some can also be booked for private use. Our room also had a small indoor onsen. The rooms are traditional Japanese with tatami flooring and futon mats which are opened up at night to sleep. One of the most amazing aspects of our stay was certainly the food. We stayed two nights so we could sample two different, incredible kaiseki dinners and breakfasts. The meals were outstanding and the service was attentive and incredibly kind. Ryokan Sanga is a great example of the unmatched Japanese hospitality culture. I sincerely hope to be back at this lovely place one day.

::Amazing service and food quality. Nothing much to add. As it could be confusing at first if you are not familiar with the ryokan system, I recommend doing some research in advance. I also highly recommend the massage. They outsource designated masseuse, and they are fantastic. It's a type of reflexology but paying attention to very much in detail. Just try that as the price is very reasonable. They visit your room and work on your whole body with your yukata on. It happens on the bedding so you can get into sleep rigjt after.

::Ryokan Sanga is an incredible place. From start to finish our stay here felt special, the staff are very courteous and attentive and made sure everything was perfect. The location is stunning and the selection of onsen is wonderful - some of the private baths especially are very unique and tranquil. The rooms feel very traditional and comfortable, it’s an amazing place to switch off from the outside world for a few days. We also loved the dining experience with exquisite Japanese food in our own private area. It was a privilege to be able to stay somewhere like this, I can’t think of any way in which our stay could have been improved
