  A Japanese confectionery shop located on the pilgrimage route along the Seta River to Ishiyama-dera Temple. There is a Japanese sweets section and an eat-in space. At the eat-in space, you can order Japanese sweets and some lunch at noon. “Tabashiru.” A sweet named after Basho's poem ``Ishiyama's stone is covered with hail'', which was written in the image of Ishiyama-dera Temple. In short, it's Daifuku mochi, but the highlight is the bean paste inside. Rather than processing Tamba Dainagon into bean paste, the amanatto beans are pickled in honey and then put into the bean paste. Tamba Dainagon is characterized by its large grains and chewy texture. It's a famous confectionery, so it's a must-visit when visiting Ishiyama-dera Temple.

  Shaved ice rumored to appear on midsummer days 🍧 The shaved ice made by steeping matcha with honey is mildly sweet, has a strong matcha flavor and bitterness, and goes perfectly with the adzuki beans that come with it, so I come back every year without fail☀️ In winter, I enjoy Japanese sweets and matcha while climbing the mountain of Ishiyama-dera ☺️ The interior of the store has a relaxing Japanese-style atmosphere, making it the perfect place to enjoy matcha. I plan to go again many times 🍵 Kaki-gyo (shaved ice) is rumored to appear on midsummer days 🍧. The shaved ice made with matcha green tea and honey is not too sweet and has a strong matcha flavor and bitterness, which goes well with the accompanying azuki beans, and I always come back every year to try it. ☀️ In winter, I work my way up the mountain to Ishiyama-dera Temple while enjoying the wagashi and matcha. ☺️ The restaurant has a relaxing Japanese style atmosphere, perfect for enjoying matcha. I plan to go back many times 🍵.

  Tea shop selling local desserts near temple area. The sweets were top quality and the matcha were delightful. Recommended if you visit the area.
