::The other day on a weekday, I had some business to do near Kurashiki Station, so I visited Sachifukuya in Ario, which I had been interested in for lunch. I had always wanted to go there because it said all-you-can-eat mentaiko on the table, but the timing just wasn't right. The menu is generally Japanese-style, and all set meals come with a buffet of mentaiko, rice, miso soup, fruit, and side dishes. When I visited, I think there were about 8 items including potato salad, hijiki, and salad. This time I ordered a set meal of fried chicken, but before the fried chicken arrived, I ended up eating too much salad because I was told to eat vegetables first (lol). The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and very delicious. The combination of rice and mentaiko made the meal even more satisfying, and I was a little hungry in the afternoon. Overall, it was well-balanced and delicious, so I plan to visit again if I have time to have lunch nearby.
