  You can buy local masterpieces, and there are many original Hakuba village products and collaboration products with brands, so it's fun!

  This is the place to go before leaving the Hakuba area for local product/souvenirs. Big parking available.

  Large souvenir shop with a good selection of local products. I recommend the bottled green tea local green tea or the local tsukemono. It's always a plus when a shop has trash cans and clean restrooms. The staff was friendly and attentive when we had questions.

  Small rest stop with a souvenir shop selling produce from the local area and a restaurant serving a selection of food. I ordered the pork cutlet, super juicy meat with a nice crispy coating. Didn't have to wait long as it wasn't busy (around 4pm on a Thursday). Also noticed a few small market stalls selling plants, didn't look around to see if they sold anything else.

  Fun place to visit and buy local food - both fresh produce and derivatives. Fresh produce selection is interesting but not extensive. 切り干し大根おやき - yum, 紫米おこわ - super yum, おこわまんじゅう - tad too sweet, 野沢菜おやき - so-so according to my hubby.
