::I had a wonderful time in this private villa! They had less than 10 villas so you could feel the privacy and quietness. Inside the villa was spacious and comfortable, with both indoor and outdoor onsen. Though the living room area was a bit old, I loved how they had a corridor section where you can sit in the chair and enjoy tea while looking out at the private outdoor onsen. That was a perfect area for cooling down after onsen! The little garden in between the villas were well-maintained with various kinds of flowers, plants and trees. Thumbs up to the gardener! Like many other reviewers said, the kaiseiki dinner and breakfast provided by the inn were delicious! They used simple ingredients, nothing big and fancy, but a nice taste of local fresh ingredients according to seasons, the dishes would leave you with a satisfying tummy. I also loved how they provided both male and female yukata so you could get change for dinner / breakfast. It was a very down to earth experience! The slight disappointments would be the location of the inn - it was very far away from the train station. I walked uphill to the inn with my suitcase when I arrived at Yufuin and it took me around half an hour in sweat. Highly advise taking a taxi from the station instead! Also the receptionist had a stony-faced when I arrived and it was not very welcoming, which was rather rare considering it was a private villa. Other than that, it was worth the money to stay at this place!

::If you are not Japanese and want to have some JAPANESE experience, this is the perfect place. Private rooms and private hot springs. Gaiseki was the best I’ve ever had. Though there were something I don’t know how to eat, staffs told me very kindly.

::A very reasonable price with both outdoor & indoor private onsen. The room’s spacious & tidy, though a bit old & simple, and the toilet’s very narrow. For in-room dining service mentioned by the hotel on the website, at first I thought the meals would be delivered to the room and a staff would come in and serve (as I tried before in another onsen hotel, without private onsen). Yet this hotel provides a small dining room for us. The meal time’s fixed. Food especially the beef’s excellent! We chose to walk to the hotel with our luggage. Google said it takes 20mins walk, but the natural scenery along is amazingly beautiful that we at last took double time to reach the hotel. It worths, though taking taxi will be more convenient. A very relaxing & recharging onsen hotel stay!

::Nice getaway. On the edge of the main tourist area. Food is excellent. Each accommodation are their own individual cabins. And all includes their own private onsen bath (both indoors and out). These are true onsen baths (meaning the water are directed from underground without added heat or bath powder). The slight sulfuric smell should be expected.

::A lovely place! It takes around 5 minutes from yufuin station by taxi.Metet fair is 700 Japanese yen. Using a taxi is better than walking. there is no bed only dadami room. It is pretty cold room at night time on end week of April. Too small restroom only toilet. If you have big body, I think you can't use it! Inside hot tub and outside hot spring. But staff said can not use family only hot spring and man or woman only hot spring cause kumamoto earthquake. They didn't say when it going to re-open. best staff and delicious food. Do not forget Japanese cash only! They don't accept any credit cards and us dollar.
