  I came here with a plan to stay without meals for work, but there were many things around so I didn't have any problems. The owner is also a nice person and the food in the restaurant and izakaya is delicious 😋

  I was looking for a place to stay on my way back from Oshino Hakkai, and I happened to find it on the bus. There were several rooms, but when I went there, there were no other guests, so they were all reserved.I was satisfied with the view of Lake Yamanaka from the smoking area. I think it's quite reasonable. There is also a large parking lot, so if you don't want to go home, you can relax.

  A guesthouse located right next to Lake Yamanaka. There is a convenience store and coin laundry nearby, and the location is excellent for walking around Mt. Fuji and Lake Yamanaka. The parking lot is also spacious. The Kikuya Shokudo below is also popular with locals. The ultimate ramen and katsudon are popular, and local dishes include horse offal stew and fried smelt.

  I'm travelling with my family - four of us altogether. My wife and I struggled a bit with this place because it is very noisy. It's on the main road going down the west side of Lake Yamanaka, and the traffic noise is pretty fierce round the clock. However, that was nothing compared to the banging of people walking up and down the corridor outside our room - proper elephant material. I'm quite sure they weren't trying to make that much racket, it's just that the soundproofing is non-existent and the walls are paper thin. Not great, especially since there are a lot of people getting up at stupid o'clock to climb Fuji. The kids slept through it all, but don't they always? It's not really "overlooking" Lake Yamanaka. I find that misleading. Yes, it's near Lake Yamanaka, but don't expect to have a room with a lovely unobscured view of the lake. We had no view at all, despite being on the front side of the building. We had food there on the first night and it was pretty good. Their ramen is supposed to be great but we didn't fancy it due to having had some the night before somewhere else. If you're arriving by bus, there's a stop really close, which is very handy indeed, and it is in a great location to get down to one of the many boat stations and hire anything from a swan pedalo to a full-on speedboat. Buses to and from Fuji are pricey. We spent in excess of 20,000 yen getting to/from stations and up to Fuji. I'm not sure I would recommend this place to friends.
