  Mampei is famous as John Lennon's favorite. He (ane his family) frequently stayed here in the 1970's. Classic. Photos were taken in October 2015.

  Charming place (I did not stay over night), serving among many dishes and drinks milk tea as tought by John Lennon. If you want to go then hurry because it will be closed from around the end of '22 for about a year for renovation.

  Traditional hotel opened centuries ago. It has great access to ginza street, which is a vibrant shopping street. You can feel the history of Japan's developing era. In summer term, you can enjoy peach shaved ice. It's a bit expensive but worthwhile. With Peach fruit and sauce, the best I have ever had.

  We had lunch here as a part of the company outing event. I was one of the organizers and was in comms with the hotel restaurant. They were very accommodating of our diverse dietary needs, which we really appreciated. The portions were a bit small, but all the dishes were presented beautifully.

  Beautiful preserved interior. It is an old hotel with a lot of history. The food is great. Be sure to visit the cafe terrace and have John Lennon's favorite combo of apple pie and royal mill tea. There is also an old bus that picks you up infront of the hotel and takes you to a mountain view spot. There is a bicycle rental close by about 3 minutes from the hotel. It is also close to the main street which is great because there are many interesting shops to enjoy.
