::I had the pleasure of enjoying the Ayame and Suiren course lunch at Kurochaya, and it was an exquisite experience. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, showcasing fresh, seasonal ingredients and traditional flavors. The presentation was elegant, and the flavors were balanced, highlighting the chef’s skill. The ambiance of the restaurant, with its serene and refined atmosphere, complemented the meal perfectly. It was a delightful culinary experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to savor a traditional multi-course Japanese meal.

::What a great find in a beautiful location! With a reservation, you are guaranteed a parking spot, but if you don't make one, it will be hard to find parking. This place is quite large with several facilities to choose from and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view. I visited the shaved ice place, and while it was expensive (¥1,500 each), it was very good. The seating is in front of the river. It is very popular, so you may have to wait a little while, but it's definitely worth it. I highly recommend this place for a quiet getaway.

::If you want the true authentic Japanese meal, this is the spot. Highly recommend to reserve your seats as it is a popular spot. This place is definitely pricey as well, but well worth the price. It’s my tradition to eat here once a year and it is such a treat. This is a course menu and I get pretty full by the end of my meal l. It’s so delicious and I truly enjoy trying different types of Japanese delicacies. Each meal is plated so beautifully and I love that they incorporate nature into the dishes. My only complaint is the slippers they provide. It’s extremely slippery and I always have difficulty walking in them. Even with the slippers, I would go back again.

::Delicious food. Great service, as expected of such a high class restaurant. Wonderful scenery. Comfortable atmosphere. English menus are available. Reservation is required. Knowing Japanese is likely a requirement. There are also a smaller shop/dining areas around the restaurant.

::Amazing. This place is a hike from Tokyo but it’s worth the trip. The setting is a classic 300 year old building nestled over river with beautiful views. The food is excellent. The course menus to choose from with vegetable dishes, fish and meat that you grill at the table. Excellent spot for a special meal.
